The Iconic Dogs of London - Sweethearts in the Window.
Sometimes a single photograph can change everything.
The portrait sparked a curiosity as it hung on my office wall. Could it be done? With the souls I call the Sweethearts of London?
Inspired by Ormond Gigli’s iconic Girls in the Windows portrait, these wonderful sweethearts came together to bring my imagination to life. Draped in satin ribbon, they posed like a dream as I stood atop a scaffold tower opposite. Constantly reminding myself I was indeed awake, and not dreaming the whole scene up.
It was this portrait that set The Iconic Dogs of London on the path it follows today.
The journey continues. New portraits are being created, new stories are being told, and the Iconic Dogs of London series continues to take shape behind the scenes.
The road has been a lot longer than expected, and I will admit there were moments when I felt a little lost creatively due to everything life had going on. Through it all, the dream has never changed.
With my final galleries from last year almost complete, The Iconic Dogs of London resumes next week, and I cannot contain my excitement to meet more wonderful characters and continue bringing the vision to life.
Thank you to every single one of you for your patience, encouragement and belief in the project along the way is something I’m eternally grateful for. I cannot wait to share the next chapter with you all.
Icons of London, I hope you’re ready.
