🎆 Firework season is approaching – is your dog prepared? 🐾❤️
As discussed by vet Bolu on Morning Britain, firework desensitisation and preparation can make a real difference to dogs who struggle with loud noises.
At Oval Pet Centre, we’re here to help you and your pets feel more prepared. ❤️ There are several options to help reduce stress and anxiety, including:
🐾 Pet Remedy – calming support to help your pet feel more settled.
🐾 Desensitisation training – gradually introducing firework sounds at a low volume and building up slowly over time.
🐾 Calming supplements and anxiety support – some options need to be started well in advance, so please speak to us early.
🐾 Prescription medication – for dogs who need extra support, our vets can discuss suitable prescription options following a consultation.
⚠️ Please don’t leave it until the last minute! Some treatment plans need to be started several weeks before fireworks season to give them the best chance of helping. Contact us in advance so we can discuss the most appropriate options for your dog.
🏡 Remember to create a safe, cosy den at home, keep windows and curtains closed, and use background music or the TV to help muffle the noise.
Your dog doesn’t have to suffer through fireworks season alone. 💗 Get in touch with our team at Oval Pet Centre – we’re always happy to help!
