Wonderful memories made. Last weekend The Harlow Town Show knocked us for 6 in more ways than one!
We applied (twice!) back in March hoping we’d get a pitch at what was billed to be the most incredible event. We heard NOTHING. A little disappointed we carried on and booked other events. THEN 2 short weeks before we get a text from an organiser inviting us in, if we’re available! The application had been lost or overlooked or god knows what but anywho we’re now excited that we have not 1 but 2 days booked. We now need lots of stock quickly, write a risk assessment, package lots of treats and rearrange our bank holiday weekend. Who needs time off anyway????
Day one, we worry that our £180 pitch fee and ££££’s of stock was all in vain! The rain came and came but the crowds didn’t! compèred the event and made the best of a very wet,sad situation for the first few hours. ‘What a shame’ being the quote of the morning. We consoled ourselves with coffee from bacon rolls from and cakes from and the BEST curry goat from .. we ate A LOT! We watched all the entertainment in the arena which was world class!!! 👏
We packed up that evening hoping for a better day on Sunday, zipped up our gazebo and drove home.
8am Sunday we get a call from the event team telling us our gazebo has flown away!!!!💨🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ Every traders worst nightmare, we were sure with our market trader weights we’d be ok but the elements flung our gazebo like a rag doll!! Thankfully we had .coffeestall gazebo at hand so packed that into the van and set off up the M11.
Sunday felt different, the sun was shining already. We dismantled gazebo 1 and put up gazebo 2 and set up our stall again! More coffee, rolls and cakes kept us going on what was now a very busy day! The crowds came and came and came! Everyone was in great spirits, we met some lovely people and dogs, we were run off our feet nearly all day!
Meeting (the man) topped off a wonderful weekend 🥳 (sorry we cropped you off the pic!)
Huge thanks for an incredible weekend, we’d
