Toby’s Dental Transformation!🦷✨

Lovely Toby came in to see Dr Hiren for a dental procedure, including full dental X-rays, after we found signs of tooth resorption.

But what is tooth resorption?
Tooth resorption is a painful condition that’s particularly common in cats, where the body starts to break down and destroy the tooth itself. Unfortunately, these lesions can often be hidden below the gumline, which is why dental X-rays are so important — they allow us to see what’s happening beneath the surface and assess the roots of the teeth.

Toby’s X-rays revealed areas of tooth resorption, so the affected teeth were carefully treated and removed where necessary.

Swipe through to see Toby’s before and after photos, along with his dental X-rays, and see the difference for yourself!

A big well done to Toby for being such a brave patient! 🐾🦷

🐾💕 Meet this little cutie! 💕🐾

This gorgeous girl Pixie came in to see us for her spay (neutering) and completely stole everyone’s hearts! 🥰

She was such a friendly, cuddly little lady and was more than happy to soak up all the love and attention from our team. 💗🐶

It’s safe to say she had everyone wrapped around her little paw! 🥹🐾

We hope you have a lovely recovery, Pixie 💕✨

Why Cat Spays are recommended... 🐾

Prevents unwanted litters: Cats can become pregnant as early as 4–6 months of age and can have multiple litters each year. Spaying helps reduce the number of homeless cats.

Protects against certain diseases: Spaying eliminates the risk of uterine infections (called pyometra), which can be life-threatening, and greatly reduces the risk of mammary (breast) cancer if done before the first heat cycle.

Stops heat cycles: Female cats in heat may yowl loudly, become restless, try to escape the house, and attract male cats. Spaying prevents these cycles.

Reduces roaming and mating behavious Since they're no longer seeking a mate, spayed cats are generally less likely to try to escape outdoors. 🐈‍⬛

A little reminder about medication requests 💚

To help us make sure your pet’s medication is ready when you need it, please allow at least 3–5 working days’ notice for ALL medication requests — including flea and worm treatments.

💊 All medications need to be authorised by a Vet or RVN, depending on the medication.

📦 Not everything is kept in stock, so some medications may need to be ordered in and can take a little longer to arrive.

📅 Planning ahead helps us avoid any delays and ensures your pet doesn’t run out of their medication.

We really appreciate your understanding and your help in keeping your pet’s care running smoothly. 🐶🐱💚

If you’re unsure about anything, our team is always happy to help! 🐾

Meet Flynn the gorgeous 16 week only Cocker Spaniel! 🐾

Flynn came in to see Dr Delphi after experiencing vomiting and diarrhoea.

Because Flynn is still so young, it’s especially important to take these symptoms seriously. Puppies and kittens can become dehydrated much more quickly than adult pets, and vomiting and diarrhoea can have many different causes — from something mild to conditions requiring more urgent treatment.

After examining Flynn, Delphi gave him an anti-sickness injection to help settle his tummy and sent him home with probiotics to support his gut while he recovered. 🩺💉

We always recommend contacting your vet if your puppy or kitten develops vomiting and/or diarrhoea, particularly if it is repeated, severe, or accompanied by being quiet, not eating, weakness, blood in the vomit or stool, or signs of dehydration.

Young pets can deteriorate quickly, so it’s always better to give your veterinary team a call and get advice rather than waiting to see if things improve.

Get well soon, Flynn! 💙

Post-op cuddles for little Lily! 💕

Lily had her spay surgery and microchip yesterday and enjoyed some well-deserved post-op love from RVN Naomi🥰

We’ll see Lily again in a few days to check her wound and make sure she’s recovering well.

Spaying is an important part of responsible cat ownership, helping prevent unwanted litters and providing health benefits. And remember, microchipping is a legal requirement in the UK for all cats, whether indoor or outdoor, and gives them the best chance of being reunited with you if they go missing.

Get well soon, Lily! 🌸🐾

✨ Meet the beautiful FIFI! 🐾💗

This little beauty came in for her cat spay (neutering) and was an absolute little star! ⭐ She enjoyed lots of cuddles and fuss from our lovely Nurse Naomi, who couldn’t resist giving her some extra love. 🥰🐱

Spaying has lots of benefits for cats, including preventing unwanted litters, helping reduce the risk of certain reproductive diseases, and preventing seasons and the behaviours that can come with them. It’s an important part of helping our feline friends live happy, healthy lives. 💕🐾

What a sweetheart, Fifi! 🌸⭐

We all fell a little bit in love with the gorgeous Toulouse today! 💙

Our receptionist, Nicole, couldn't resist a cuddle after this handsome Ragdoll kitten came in for his castration and microchip procedure. We're pleased to say he was an absolute superstar and so brave throughout his visit! 🥰

A little reminder for all cat owners: it's a legal requirement for all cats, whether they live indoors or outdoors, to be microchipped by the age of 20 weeks. Microchipping is a quick, simple procedure that gives your furry friend the best chance of being reunited with you if they ever go missing.

We hope you enjoy lots of cuddles at home while you recover, Toulouse! 🐱💕
