When reached out asking if I’d be willing to trial some of their products and provide honest feedback, I was genuinely excited. I’ve actually been following them for a while already as I’m always on the lookout for products I feel confident recommending to my training clients.

Safe to say… the dogs were VERY interested in what was inside the box 👀🐾

The treats were tested on 4 very different dogs:
🐺 Skye the Husky cross
🦊 Gingie the Shiba Inu
🐶 Rubee the Cavapoochon
🐾 Freddy the Australian Labradoodle

Now… Skye and Gingie were not overly impressed with the treats 😆 but let’s be honest, do their votes fully count when both are famously fussy eaters?

Meanwhile Rubee and Freddy could not get enough of them, so the official score from the KAHU K9 taste testers is 2/4 😂

The supplements and ingredients though? Genuinely impressive and definitely something I’d recommend looking into if you’re conscious about what you’re giving your dog.

Don’t just take my word for it though… ask my furry friends 🐾

🐾🎓 HUGE congratulations to Indie and her amazing mum on graduating our 4 Week Remote Collar Training Program! 🎓🐾

When Indie first started, crows, squirrels and horses were just a little too exciting 😅 Her prey drive and environmental distractions meant walks could feel stressful, unpredictable and hard to fully enjoy.

Fast forward 4 weeks and look at them now 👏🏼

Through clear communication, consistency, guidance and the correct conditioning process, Indie and her mum can now walk with so much more confidence, freedom and understanding together 🐕

This is why I always say:
Tools don’t train dogs. Training trains dogs.
The remote collar simply helped improve communication at a distance.

I am so proud of both of them and the hard work they have put in ❤️

Try this instead 👇

The Hitchhiker Method

The moment your dog pulls, calmly turn and walk the other way while giving your recall command, like “here”. When they catch up to you and the lead is loose, praise and continue.

You’re not fighting the pull… you’re teaching your dog that staying with you is what keeps the walk moving.

Consistency is everything here. Clear communication, clear outcome.

Flat-faced dogs and breathing 👇

Let’s talk honestly about breeds like Pugs, French Bulldogs and Bulldogs

They are loved for their look…
But that same look often comes with real breathing problems

This is called Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome

And it can affect your dog every single day

What does it actually look like?

Snorting, snoring, noisy breathing
Struggling on walks
Overheating quickly
Gagging or retching
Seeming “lazy” or not wanting to move

That’s not personality
That’s your dog finding it hard to breathe

Now here’s the important part

There is surgery that can help

Procedures like widening the nostrils or shortening the soft palate can:

Improve airflow
Reduce stress on the body
Increase exercise tolerance
Help regulate temperature
Improve overall quality of life

This isn’t about aesthetics
It’s about welfare

Dogs shouldn’t have to fight for every breath

If you own a flat-faced breed, ask yourself honestly:

Is my dog breathing comfortably at rest?
Can they exercise without struggling?
Do they recover quickly after activity?

If the answer is no, it’s worth speaking to your vet

Early intervention can make a huge difference
And in many cases, it can extend your dog’s life

We can love these breeds
And still do better by them

Because real love means advocating for their health, not just their look 🐾

We were working with Stormy, an XL Bully, and it was all about showing the reality behind these dogs… not the headlines.

Stormy is not the problem.

And this is the conversation that needs to be had more openly.

Banning breeds doesn’t fix behaviour.
Holding owners accountable does.

We already have laws in place under the Dangerous Dogs Act… the issue is how they’re applied.

This day was about advocating for dogs like Stormy and so many others who are being judged before they’re understood.

It was intense, insightful, and honestly… a lot of fun being part of something that matters.
