You cannot buy results . There is no method that will universally work.

Behaviour is multifaceted NOT everything is a training problem physical and psychological health are hugely impactful .

It takes time , patience and hard work to commit to your horse or dog . They are also unique and what helps one horse will not help another !!

If you zoom out and take a whole horse and whole dog look you or more likely to get to the place you and your horse or dog want to be.

We need to STOP modifying the behaviour of Horses and Dogs to make them more acceptable to us . Instead we must seek to understand who they are and what they need .

Understanding trauma in Animals (and people) is complicated and nuanced and involves not just impacts on the body , the brain and social behaviour but appreciating that how it alters their perception of their world. It means believing their perspective.

It’s about being guided by evidence based practice and evolving knowledge of trauma AND what that means for the individual .

We love this community. But we can't ignore where it needs to do better.

Too many people have experienced bullying, intimidation, abuse, unsafe working environments or situations where concerns have not been taken seriously. You may have experienced it yourself. You may have witnessed it. You may have supported someone through it.

When poor behaviour goes unchallenged, it becomes normalised. When concerns are ignored, trust is eroded. We all have a responsibility to hold each other to account.

Victims and survivors deserve better. Everyone who loves this community deserves better.

𝗗𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝘁 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗕𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗺𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 ?

I see you wondering are you doing enough for your Horse.?

You ask yourself constantly?

Do they have enough space?
Are they in the right social group?
Do they have the correct diet?
Do they have enough grass or too much?

The reality is we can’t offer perfection
