Cole&Friends Animal Rescue We are a small, dedicated team, run entirely by volunteers who work from their own homes.

Cats come to us for all kinds of reasons: some have been lost or abandoned and are living on the streets, some are signed over to us by owners who can no longer care for them, others are rescued from dubious online sellers. We place all our cats with a foster carer so we can get to know their needs and make sure they are in the best of health as we prepare them for their new, permanent home.

📅 We're making a 2027 calendar to raise money for our rescue, and we want it filled with the cats who've come through Cole & Friends.

Twelve cats will win a month, one will win the cover, and you get to decide who! 🗳️ The shortlist will go to a public vote on our Stories in September.

Any cat who's come through Cole & Friends is eligible, whether you adopted or fostered them, and you can enter as many photos and cats as you like. 🐱

📸 We're after high quality, landscape photos, big enough to print at A4. Send the original from your camera roll rather than one that's been forwarded to you, since those get shrunk down and print blurry.

Lola’s medical journey has officially begun, and we wanted to share a deeper update on her progress and needs.

The vet confirmed that Lola is suffering from severe, long term neglect. Her body is covered in sores, scabs, swelling, and abscesses, alongside watery eyes with scar tissue and cracked paws. She has received steroid injections and medicated drops to help her skin respond to treatment over the coming weeks.

To heal, Lola requires medicated baths every three to four days. Because bathing causes her extreme distress, her foster dad is taking everything at her pace. She is learning by example, watching her foster Sphynx brother enjoy his own bath times so she can see that water does not have to be scary and that she is completely safe now.

Important Adoption Note:

We know many people will fall in love with Lola. To safeguard her future, she will only be rehomed with an adopter who currently owns a Sphynx or has experience with the breed.

She needs time to recover before she is ready to move, but if you meet these specific criteria, you are welcome to submit an early application.

Meet brothers Gustaw and Nico, an inseparable bonded duo who are ready to love you unconditionally 🐾

Gustaw is a total sweetheart with a passion for food, lap cuddles, and purring so happily that he actually drools when he is content. Nico is a little more shy at first, but once he knows he is safe, he turns into a master biscuit maker who loves showering his brother with gentle licks and using his adorable strong meow to ask for dinner.

Good news Monday!!

Teddy is officially reserved! 🧸😍

Our sweet, chatty little boy has officially found his forever home.

Teddy has been the most gentle foster guest during his time with us. He is a total picture of calm and sweetness, happily sharing his space with other cats and staying completely unbothered even when met with a bit of feline drama. When another cat gives him a hiss, Teddy just sits quietly, watching with endless patience, or politely looks the other way. He has the sweetest, most serene soul 🥹

He was also an absolute dream for photo shoots. While most rescue cats duck away from the lens, Teddy would sit so happily and pose for the camera, completely unfazed by having a phone right in his handsome face 📸

We are going to miss his cute vocal commentary, his soft energy, and his cosy presence so much, but our hearts are full knowing he is off to start his happy new chapter.

Thank you to everyone who shared his story and helped this darling rescue cat find his perfect match! 🏠❤️

🚨 URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT: WE ARE PAUSING INTAKES 🚨

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we must announce a temporary halt on taking in any new cats or kittens, effective immediately.

This was an incredibly difficult decision, but the reality is simple: We have run out of foster homes.

Foster homes are the absolute backbone of our rescue. We do not have a physical shelter; every cat we save relies entirely on a volunteer opening their heart and home. Without foster homes, we cannot function.

Every single day, our inbox is flooded with desperate pleas, stray kittens, owner surrenders, emergency cases. Having to say “no” or “we cannot help right now” to these messages is heartbreaking. It’s a review we never want to make, but it’s the only choice we have when we have nowhere to put them.

WE NEED YOUR HELP TO REOPEN OUR DOORS.
