Be honest: is your cat's litter tray in the utility room? π
It's the most common spot in British homes, and it's one of the worst. To a cat, that room is a metal box of sudden noises, and one spin cycle at the wrong moment can put them off the tray for good.
The best spots are quieter than you'd think:
π The bathroom (door propped open, always)
πͺ A landing corner in a two-storey home
ποΈ Even a calm corner of the living room beats a noisy hideaway
The rules are simple: quiet but not isolated, a clear view of the room, more than one way out, and well away from food, water and anything that lurches into a loud cycle.
We've ranked every room in the house, the good, the workable and the bad, plus how to move a tray without your cat filing a complaint. Full guide in the comments. π
Where does your cat's tray live? Tell us below, no judgement (from us, anyway). π±
