The right trainer should make your dog’s world 🌍 bigger, not smaller.

Yes, in the beginning there may need to be management, structure, and some restrictions 🚧 while your dog learns.

But the long term goal ✨ should never be a lifetime of avoiding the world 🚫

Training should build confidence 💪 understanding 🧠 and freedom..

Your dog should gradually be able to experience more 🌳 cope with more 🐕 and safely enjoy more of life ☀️

If training only ever results in more restrictions, more avoidance, and a smaller life, it’s worth asking why.

Are you training your dog to pull❓️

Pulling is not “just excitement” 🐕💥

If your dog pulls and then gets access to the thing they wanted… another dog 🐶 a smell 🌳 a person 👋 a squirrel 🐿️

…then the pulling worked.

Over time, your dog learns that lead pressure = reward 🎯

Loose lead walking is not about taking freedom away 🚶‍♂️
It is about teaching your dog that calm behaviour unlocks the world 🌍✨

Dogs repeat what gets rewarded 🧠🐾

😫As the dog owner, somehow, somewhere in our ownership the dogs behaviour is our fault.😭

📣Somewhere it is being reinforced and as the human we have to change. 👆And humans do not like change.

🐶When you accept this, you'll move faster in your training journey.
