RESIDENTIAL TRAINING!

Ozzy the Kooikerhondje

Here we are continuing his muzzle training, things to consider when muzzle training.

β€’ Don’t rush it
β€’If you are changing muzzles reintroduce the new muzzle don’t just whack it on because β€œhe was fine with his last muzzle”
β€’ Building a positive experience with the muzzle means your dog will be more than happy to wear it for longer periods of time

Ozzy muzzle training had come along very well with his last muzzle. Happily sit in a restaurant for 45mins in it with no issues of pawing it. Walk for a 10minutes ( this part takes longer) HOWEVER this is now a new muzzle so we are back to some basics and here we are also working with my dad, which also works on two things, his reactivity towards men as well as the muzzle training.

This boy is SUPER nervous so this is huge milestones for this boy πŸ•πŸΎβ€οΈ

RESIDENTIAL TRAINING

Ozzy the Kooikerhondje, the progress being made with this boy really does fill you with joy!

Very reactive towards people especially men! Here we are working with my dad to build his confidence and trust with strangers. What looks so simple is a huge milestone for this boy. He is now actively seeking attention and comfortable enough to lie down whilst being touched!! Amazing work we have done with this boy πŸ₯°

RESIDENTIAL TRAINING

Ozzy the Kooikerhondje 🐾

Ozzy is in for his reactivity towards people with a bite history. We have worked hard to get Ozzy to be able to walk near people and now be picked up by strangers to him. Working here with my dad from K9 Training Services: Dog Training Centre of Excellence

Ozzy would go in and bite the minute you came into his personal space. The progress being made with Ozzy is incredible, some more videos to come so watch this space!

RESIDENTIAL TRAINING

Ozzy the Kooikerhondje is in for his residential training.

Suffering with extreme reactivity towards strangers and large dogs. Ozzy would always go in for a bite if you tried to stroke him or come into his personal space. He is doing amazing and we will soon have some more videos of him being multi handled 🐾

Here we have the foundations of Gundog training. I have only started two weeks ago with this training and I am super happy with the progression.

Walking calmly next to me at whatever speed I am going, when you are on shoots there are times you are walking and the dog must stay with you not rush off.

I am also introducing the stop whistle, one long whistle which the dog must go into a sit when blown.

Teaching the retrieve with a dummy, what I’m not worried about right now is perfection. He must enjoy doing this not feel like it’s a chore.

Not all our clients are on Social media but we have one very happy client with a great review.

Here is Theo he is a 13 year old Poodle cross Bichon. Many people will wonder why would you bother training at 13, the saying β€œyou can’t teach old dogs new tricks” absolute rubbish! It just takes longer and more patience.

These owners have some problems including, dog reactivity, pulling on the lead and excessive barking at the door.

These are the owners words on what can be achieved in a few sessions.

🐾 We have only had two sessions with Sam and our 13yr old poodle/bichon who has issues around other dogs - mostly surrounding being chased when he was 18th a old, we have always really struggle and had mixed results socialising him. We have worked with two other dog trainers with no success. Today Theo walked relatively happy in between two labs it’s a great start and I feel so confident with further training and work we will get there.

Theo also barks incessantly when the door buzzer goes - our first session was a week ago and with a process put in place we are already seeing a difference.

I couldn’t be happier, I feel so confident we will overcome these issues which in turn I know will make Theo happier.

I have already recommended Sam to my cousin and her puppy and have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone.

Thank you Sam we really appreciate you.
