If you're unsure whether to walk your dog, this guide from Petplan is always super useful. I'm checking the forecast daily, and I thank my doggy clients for agreeing to adjustments and cancellations where needed. I'm off to another home visit now, far too hot for walkies at 31 degrees! And remember, with no cloud cover and no breeze, the "real feel" temperature is even higher.

If you don't have a cooling mat, try a frozen water bottle wrapped in a tea towel near where they sleep!

Byebye Otto! Otto was another longstanding member of the Paw This Way family. He's his own man, who is always the boss! The big dogs would think about running and hiding if they saw little Otto coming their way, in case they got shouted at! He had his regular walks with Olive, who always loved him more than he loved her, but I think he had a soft spot for her really! He's a proper traveller now and has headed off into the sun, all your little friends at the park miss you little guy

My grid is looking very bare from this year! I spend so much time procrastinating about what to post (and spending time with my fluffy friends), no posts ever make it out into the world!
My regular lineup is so different to last year, so let me begin with some farewell posts, to some of my regular doggies that moved away last year. Some have gone far, some not so far and I've been able to see them since!

Here is another farewell post, this one is for Penny who moved away last year. She was my first regular doggy, and I stayed with her often too. I've been lucky enough to go and stay with her since she's moved, but I miss seeing her beautiful face most days! She could get the prize for most stubborn dog on walkies - some days it was Penny's way or no way! She spent hours licking Alfie's head, and could sniff out a chicken bone a mile off... We miss you Peaches!
