WATER FARM CLINIC

A lovely clinic yesterday at Water Farm Equestrian. A real mix of horses and ponies who all grew in confidence from when they first came in. It was so lovely to see such kind and compassionate owners.

PERFECT FOR YOUNG HORSES!

Come along for an informative session with a variety of novel obstacles and tips on how to help your horse stay relaxed and below threshold in a new environment.
Perfect for all young (or old) horses that need some help building their confidence and curiosity in a calm, relaxed and supportive environment.

All sessions involve learning how to successfully apply positive reinforcement techniques to help your horses feel confident around new obstacles!

All clinics are groundwork based but if you fancy trying them ridden then these can be done at private clinics at your yard!

Monday 20th April at ARU Writtle, Essex - 6:15-7:45pm

Monday 4th May at Water Farm EC, Suffolk - 1:15-2:45pm

Monday 29th June at ARU Writtle, Essex - 6:15-7:45pm

ARU WRITTLE OBSTACLE CLINIC

On Monday night we held another wonderful obstacle clinic with a variety of combinations. It was really great to see the improvement from start to finish and how confident all the horses and owners became towards the end.

Everyone set out to have a positive experience with their horse and not push them beyond their threshold which was really wonderful to see.

YOUNG HORSE CLINIC

On Monday we ran a wonderful YHC at a private yard. Two wonderful owners and their lovely young Connemara's who were both worried about everything we had put in their arena but both gained confidence very quickly and were happy to complete the obstacles by the end of the session.

We used lots of positive reinforcement and desensitisation techniques to help ensure the horses stayed within their threshold and gained confidence.

WEATHER UPDATE

Hello everyone!

Not quite the first day back at work I was hoping for!! We have a few inches of snow on the ground and very frozen...everything 😂

Yours, your horses and my safety is paramount so please pop me a message if you are worried about a session we have booked this week. We are altering sessions as much as possible but with some behavioural consults that involve ridden issues we are postponing.

My usual cancellation policy will not be implemented for weather related cancellations if it is deemed dangerous or your session is not adaptable to the weather conditions.

As someone who is self-employed this obviously involves a financial hit so I am offering discounted telephone and video consultations for this week. These are an excellent way to come up with a solid plan and chat through any behavioural or training issues you are currently experiencing. Through a 1 hour phone call we can discuss:

Ridden behavioural issues
Groundwork issues
Loading
Phobias/fears
General training
Trick training
Enrichment ideas to keep your horses occupied when they are in!

Virtual training sessions/phone calls are usually £25 p/h but I am offering them at £20 for this week only.

Plus if you would like an additional training plan for me to develop and send over, along with unlimited virtual advice and videos you can receive this for an additional £15.
