😞 A SAD DEVELOPMENT IN HONEY’S SEARCH 😞

We have some really sad news to share about Honey…

Her new owner has decided that she can no longer help with the search and, should Honey be found safe, she no longer wishes to offer her a home. 😔

We don’t know why. Perhaps she simply doesn’t know Honey yet, or the joy this little girl could bring into her life. They only spent a few hours together — the journey to Honey’s new home — and Honey escaped before she had even had the chance to walk through the front door. 😞

NO DEROGATORY COMMENT PLEASE - IT IS WHAT IT IS - let’s concentrate on finding her 🙏🏻

However the reality now is that Honey is lost in an area she doesn’t know, and she has NO-ONE there on the ground who is looking out for her. 💔

The phone number on Honey’s poster has now been changed to the Lost Dog Recovery UK South team, and we will continue to do everything we can to help her. 🧡

Honey’s original rescue and her previous owner still care very much about her. If Honey is found, she will have somewhere to go and WILL be cared for. ❤️

But frankly, there have never been enough posters up for Honey — and POSTERS ARE SO IMPORTANT. They are what put her face in front of the people who may actually see her.

Honey is a quiet, gentle, shy girl. She is far more likely to hide deep than to approach people, and if she has found somewhere that provides regular food, water and shelter, she may simply stay there.

Could Honey be visiting YOU?
Could she be quietly pinching food left out for cats or foxes?
Could she be scavenging from bins or finding food somewhere nearby?

Please keep your eyes peeled. 👀

😞 HONEY IS STILL MISSING 😞

We are continuing to follow up EVERY single piece of information that comes our way — although, sadly, there hasn’t been much. 😕

But today, we were sent some footage of a dog wandering in the Dunstable area around two weeks ago…two reports of a dog like Honey wandering…5/9 & 12/9 😐

Honey’s previous owner has seen the footage and says the dog is very like Honey — the shape, the way she moves, her overall appearance… could it possibly be her? 🤔

We know this is over 30 miles from where Honey was last seen, so it may seem far-fetched… BUT in the world of missing dogs, we simply cannot ignore possibilities.

There are a couple of things to consider:

🐾 There are railway lines running through the area, providing routes where a dog could potentially travel considerable distances without being seen.

🐾 Could Honey have been found by someone and then escaped again, or even been taken somewhere and subsequently left behind?

We know these scenarios may sound unlikely — but strange things happen with missing dogs, and until we have evidence to rule something out, we HAVE to keep looking. 😐

🙏🏻 PLEASE SHARE THIS POST, particularly across Dunstable and Luton pages and local groups.

Someone in that area may be able to look at the footage and say, “That’s definitely not Honey, as it was my dog”

OR… someone else may have seen the dog, know where it had been before/after, be feeding ‘a stray’ dog or have seen something else that could help. 🙏🏻

PLEASE also keep sharing Honey’s poster around North London too. Every share keeps her face in front of more people 💥

We just need that one person, that one piece of information, that one connection…

Someone, somewhere MUST know something. 😔

🥺WHERE ARE YOU HONEY? 🥺

When Honey bolted from the driveway of what was to be her new loving home in Bounds Green, she headed south and was spotted by a lady on a little green near the rail tracks…about a mile away from the home 😕

The lady sat with her for hours. Although Honey wouldn’t come close, she fed her tidbits, hoping to gain enough trust to secure her. Sadly, something eventually spooked this already scared dog…and she bolted away again 😪

Honey’s new owners were alerted, as were her previous ones…and although the previous owner couldn’t get to the area, the new owner went and waited in the hope Honey would return there. She did not 😞

All the usual actions were taken…Network Rail advised, posters printed and put up around the area, food/access left at the home in case she backtracked etc…but there has been no sign of Honey since that day (with the exception of a vague, unconfirmed report on a nearby golf course which was also followed up) 😕

WHERE IS SHE? 😭

THIS IS TOO SAD 💔

Honey is a beautiful gentle girl…she needs to be home on a sofa…safe and sound 😞

Please PLEASE 🙏🏻 share this widely!!!

‼️ PLEASE KEEP LOOKING FOR HONEY – STILL MISSING FROM N11 ‼️

It is now over a week since HONEY escaped in Bounds Green, London N11, shortly before entering her new home on 20th August 2026 💔

Despite extensive awareness, postering and searching, we still need that all-important sighting to help us establish where Honey is now.

Honey is an extremely nervous rescue dog and, after this length of time, she could have travelled further than people might expect. She may also have found somewhere quiet to hide during the day and only be moving around when the streets are quieter, particularly early morning, evening or overnight.

🐾 PLEASE KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN – EVEN IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE THE ORIGINAL AREA

We particularly need people across Bounds Green, Wood Green, New Southgate, Bowes Park, Muswell Hill and ALL surrounding areas to remain vigilant.

Honey is:
🐕 Medium/Labrador sized
🖤 Black, with some white on her chest
🤍 Greying around her lower muzzle
🐾 Around 7 years old
❌ NOT wearing a collar, harness or lead

After more than a week outside she may now look thinner or more dishevelled than in her photographs, so please don’t dismiss a dog simply because she doesn’t look exactly the same.

Please look out for her around:
🏡 Gardens, allotments and quiet residential areas
🌳 Parks, woodland and overgrown areas
🚂 Railway lines and trackside vegetation
🏭 Industrial areas, yards and unused buildings
🗑️ Bins, food waste and places where she may be scavenging
🦊 Areas regularly visited by foxes or other wildlife

📹 PLEASE CHECK CCTV AND DOORBELL CAMERAS, particularly overnight and during the early hours. One fleeting image could give us the breakthrough we desperately need.

‼️ IF YOU SEE A DOG YOU THINK COULD BE HONEY, PLEASE DO NOT APPROACH, CALL, CHASE OR FOLLOW HER. ‼️

She is extremely nervous and may bolt straight into danger.

Instead, please:
📍 Note the exact location / send a pin drop
⏰ Record the exact time
🧭 Note which direction she was travelling
🐕 Tell us what she was doing
📸 Take a photo or video from a distance if safely possible
📞 Report the sighting immediately using the numbers on Honey’s poster

PLEASE REPORT EVEN AN UNCERTAIN SIGHTING. We would much rather check something that turns out not to be Honey than miss the one sighting that leads us to her 🙏🏻

Honey’s family and everyone involved in trying to bring her home are desperately waiting for news.

‼️HONEY IS STILL MISSING‼️

We need YOUR eyes peeled across the BOUNDS GREEN / WOOD GREEN / NEW SOUTHGATE / BOWES PARK / MUSWELL HILL areas AND BEYOND to ALL AREAS around!! 📣

We need to raise awareness and get word out widely to find that one special person that will hold the key 🙏🏻

🐾Honey slipped her collar and bolted just BEFORE she entered her new home in Bounds Green on 20th August…nearly a week now for her distraught new owners, previous owner and original rescue 😢
🐶 She is NOT wearing any lead/harness/collar
🦮She is a medium Lab size, around 7 years old and black coloured, but does have some white on her chest, and a greying lower muzzle. Being black, she will be hard to see at dark. She may be disheveled and dirty…so may not look totally the same as her pics…but PLEASE REPORT IF YOU SEE SOMETHING THAT MAY BE HER
🏭She is lost in an urban area so will have plenty of potential hiding spots - we need that chance sighting!
🚮She will learn how to scavenge...so please look out for upturned bins, dog poo in 'odd' places etc
👀If you feed wildlife in the area - please keep eyes peeled…lost dogs OFTEN follow foxes
🚂 If you work or travel any train lines in the area - please keep a look out…many dogs find quiet hidey holes trackside, emerging at dark to scavenge for food
📷If you have cctv or video doorbells...please adjust settings to catch animal movement (just for a bit 🙏🏻) - lost dogs are often seen on camera at night
🏠She would be hard to catch, but it’s not impossible that someone picked her up and is unsure how to report…PLEASE LET US KNOW if anyone near you has recently acquired a dog like this ✔️

🫤 HONEY IS STILL MISSING 🫤

She is a very sweet girl…but also very nervous, and now will be scared…she is likely to need to be trapped by the team ✔️

We have had some, but very little info in so far, indicating that she’s hunkered down deep somewhere she considers safe…but we need her to be recognised when she emerges, so that the information comes in to us 🙏🏻

❌CAN YOU HELP?❌

Physical posters up around an area are the No1 way to generate sightings…

Can you spend an hour or so for Honey to put up a few posters? EVERY SINGLE poster will help to raise awareness!!

HONEY, an EXTREMELY NERVOUS rescue dog, escaped from her new home in Bounds Green, London N11 on 20th August 2026. She slipped her collar before entering the new home, and ran 😭

HONEY is NOT to be approached - she is likely to bolt, and in such an urban area, that could be disastrous 🚄🚗 - she needs to calm and settle for either her owner to secure her, or to be safely trapped 🙏

If you see her, note the following and call/message us asap:

⏰ TIME (exact time if possible or AM/PM)
📍 LOCATION (pinpoint on map)
🧭DIRECTION HEADED (nearest landmark)
🐕BEHAVIOUR (walking, running, nervous, calm, sniffing, did they stay in the area? How long?)
📸GET A PHOTO (for ID) if you possibly can
