Caring for your animals Ark Veterinary Centre is a mixed practice with five centres.

The main practice at Lockerbie has branches at Annan, Langholm and Moffat along with our new St Mary’s practice in Dumfries.

🎆 Firework season is nearly here! 🎆

While fireworks can be exciting for us, they can often be frightening and stressful for our pets😬

Remember to keep pets safely indoors, create a quiet and cosy space for them, close curtains and windows, make sure they’re wearing a secure ID tag and that their microchip information is up to date🖊️

📍 We’ve unfortunately had a deceased black, neutered male cat handed in to the practice found in Johnstonebridge. He isn’t microchipped but does have a red collar on.

This time next week, our receptionist Anna along with her sister Rachel will be running the Scottish Half Marathon to raise money for Macular Society, a charity close to both of their hearts 🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️✨

The Macular Society funds vital research to help find a cure for this disease which is the UK’s leading cause of sight loss.
