This time next week, our receptionist Anna along with her sister Rachel will be running the Scottish Half Marathon to raise money for Macular Society, a charity close to both of their hearts 🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️✨

The Macular Society funds vital research to help find a cure for this disease which is the UK’s leading cause of sight loss.

Sadly we have had a deceased cat handed in by the police found in Annan. It’s an entire male tabby of medium size. Unfortunately it’s not microchipped. If you think it may be yours please get in contact on 01576 202552

We have roadworks this week outside our St Marys branch. Details are below.

The works should hopefully not cause too much disruption as the road is closed from 6pm to 6am, 30th June to 2nd July.

If you have an out of hours emergency we may need to see you in our Lockerbie Branch while works are completed.

Planned Road Works – St Mary’s Industrial Estate, Dumfries

Surfacing works are scheduled on the U920n (St Mary’s Industrial Estate) from the A709 Lockerbie Road to the end of the estate.

📅 Dates: 30 June – 2 July 2026
⏰ Times: 6pm to 6am each night
🚫 Traffic management:
• Road closure in place during working hours
• Parking suspension will apply

Diversion:
There is no suitable diversion route to access the industrial estate during the closure, so please make alternative arrangements. Please ensure vehicles are removed from the road during this time.

These works are part of the council’s summer road improvement programme, helping to maintain and improve local roads.
