I have offered to share this beautiful “Girlie” and have personally seen her, she is very active and fun, but also very soft 🐾❤️🐕

Meet our beautiful young collie girl 💚She’s around 10 months old, incredibly bright, affectionate and full of personality. Loves cuddles, settling beside you and being close to her people or relaxing with a chew.
Generally calm though like many young collie-types, she can become over-excited when overstimulated or frustrated, especially on walks or when her needs aren’t met, which can sometimes show as jumping, grabbing or lead excitement. She’s already making lovely progress with calm, consistent handling and structure.
She settles well at home in her crate or on the sofa, loves fuss and cuddles, and is showing more and more calm behaviour as she matures.
She previously had some urinary/bladder concerns as a younger puppy and has a routine follow-up check planned when she is older, she is currently doing really well. She’s just finished her first season.
She would thrive in a home that can offer:
• calm, confident handling
• time, structure and consistency
• understanding/experience of active/intelligent breeds and puppies
• positive, patient training
She has huge potential and deserves a committed forever home that can continue helping her grow into the wonderful dog she’s becoming 💚 Contact Jennie on WhatsApp +44 7811 832878 (Bangor, north Wales).

Sharing the St Davids Award on behalf of Brian Jones (Puffin). This award represents the decades of commitment from past and present members who have given a contribution to the International team through the years, and not forgetting those who are not with us. I also want to thank Mike Amps for his hard work & contribution to "Lowland Rescue" and for establishing these teams. It was an absolute honour to es**rt both (Brian and Mike) to the St Davids Awards in Cardiff.

Brian Jones, from Penmaenmawr, Conwy, is a remarkable volunteer whose devotion has defined the British International Search and Rescue Dogs (BIRD) team for over four decades. Now in his 80s, Brian continues to play a pivotal role as team leader, guiding BIRD through countless emergencies both at home and overseas.

He has been instrumental during major events such as earthquakes (2 in Turkey, India, Pakistan, Algeria) and floods (Mozambique) and in supporting humanitarian efforts for Kosovan and Ukrainian refugees. In addition, he has been involved in searches for many missing persons in England and Wales.

Brian’s steadfast dedication is matched only by his tireless fundraising, standing in all weathers at the Mona car boot sale every week to ensure the team’s vital work continues. He is renowned for his gentle approach, sharing wisdom with generations of volunteers and offering support without judgement.

Whether organising training, attending international deployments, or lending a compassionate ear, Brian’s humility and courage set him apart. His lifelong commitment to helping others has made a profound difference, establishing BIRD as a cornerstone of rescue services and making Brian a truly deserving nominee for this award.

This is Brian Jones. He is a true hero ❤️ For the past 40 years he has given up his own time to save other people’s lives. Brian is a volunteer for the British International Search and Rescue Dogs (BIRD). The team consists of volunteers who work with specialist trained dogs to assist in disasters - both at home and abroad. They don’t get any government funding. They are not paid. They do it because it matters 👊

Brian might be in his 80s, but he’s still playing a pivotal role as team leader. He has guided BIRD through countless emergencies - including earthquakes in Turkey, India, Pakistan and Algeria. He’s helped with floods in Mozambique and in supporting humanitarian efforts for Ukrainian refugees. Back home in Wales, he’s also assisted police and rescue teams searching for hundreds of missing people across the UK.

When he’s not deployed on a search, Brian is fundraising on behalf of the team - and you can often find him standing in all weathers at car boot sales or fundraising events to ensure their vital work continues. It’s safe to say, Brian has, and continues to, make the world a better place every day. He is a legend. Simple as that ❤️

Brian, from Penmaenmawr in Conwy, has now been nominated for a St David Award for his commitment, courage and devotion to saving lives. What a truly deserving nominee for this award 👏
