🌙 KEEP YOUR DOG VISIBLE AFTER DARK 🐕

As the evenings get darker, it’s important to make sure your dog can be seen when you’re out walking.

A light attached to your dog’s collar or harness makes them much easier for drivers, cyclists and other pedestrians to spot — particularly on poorly lit roads, footpaths and car parks.

It can also make it much easier for you to keep track of your dog in the dark, especially if they’re off the lead.

Reflective clothing and collars can help too, but they rely on a light source to be effective. An active dog light gives you that extra bit of visibility from every direction.

💡 A small light can make a big difference to your dog’s safety.

📢 Burns 12kg Packaging & Price Update

If you buy Burns Dog food, there’s some good news.

Burns has recently updated the packaging across the range, so you may notice a slightly different look on the bags in store. The food itself has not changed – it’s the same trusted Burns recipe, just in refreshed packaging.

Even better, there has also been a price drop on the 12kg bags only. 🎉

This means you can now get the same quality Burns food at a lower price!

Flea Tip: Don’t Forget the Car 🚗

With flea season in full swing, many people are starting to notice increased scratching and flea activity in their pets.

When treating fleas, most people remember the pet and the house, but the car is often forgotten.

If your dog travels regularly in the car, fleas, eggs and larvae can end up in the seats, carpets and boot area. Treating the pet without treating the car can sometimes allow fleas to be picked up again later.

For the best chance of breaking the flea life cycle:
Treat all pets in the household
Vacuum carpets, rugs and sofas thoroughly
Wash pet bedding on a hot wash where possible
Vacuum the car, paying particular attention to fabric seats, footwells and the boot

Flea control is usually most effective when every environment your pet spends time in is treated at the same time.

🧄 Did you know?

Dog-specific garlic supplements are a popular natural addition to many flea prevention routines. When fed at the correct dosage, they're thought to make dogs less appealing to fleas by releasing natural sulphur compounds through the skin and coat.

⚠️ Never feed your dog raw garlic. Only use garlic supplements that are specifically formulated for dogs, and always follow the recommended feeding guidelines.

Have you tried garlic supplements for your dog?

We've had a few people asking about antlers, so we thought we'd answer some of the most common questions! 🦌🐶
Dog antlers are 100% natural, naturally shed deer antlers. Deer grow and shed their antlers every year as part of their normal life cycle, so no deer are harmed in the process. Once shed, the antlers are simply collected, cleaned, and cut to size.
Antlers are one of the toughest natural dog chews available, making them ideal for dogs that love to chew. They can provide hours of long-lasting entertainment and may help support dental health by reducing plaque and tartar as your dog chews.
Because they're so hard, it's important to choose the correct size for your dog and always supervise while they're chewing. Antlers are best suited to sensible chewers rather than dogs that try to bite through everything in one go.
