If you've noticed water pooling around your patio, driveway or garden after heavy rain, it's worth dealing with the cause rather than simply hoping it disappears.

Poor drainage can result in:

🌱 Waterlogged lawns
🏡 Problems around patios and paved areas

A great patio starts with what you CAN’T see! 👀

When you look at a finished patio, it’s the paving that gets all the attention — but the preparation underneath is just as important as the slabs on top.

Getting the groundwork right means:

✔️ Correct excavation and levels
✔️ A properly prepared and compacted sub-base
✔️ Suitable falls to allow water to drain away
✔️ Good drainage where required
✔️ A solid, correctly prepared laying base
✔️ Careful planning before the first slab goes down

Cutting corners underneath can lead to movement, sinking, uneven paving and drainage problems further down the line.

🏡 Do it right from the ground up and you’ll have an outdoor space that's built to last.
