“Who knew my dog was talking to me this whole time? Thank you for showing me this.”

A client said this to me last week, and I loved it. 💚 Because this is what I teach.

We are always having silent conversations with our dogs. And often it’s the small signs, not just the obvious ones. A glance away, a tiny pause, a change in posture, a lick of the lips, a shift in weight, choosing to move closer or create a little space.

Once you learn to notice those quieter conversations, you start to understand just how much your dog has been telling you all along.

That’s why I love this quote. Empathy isn’t about assuming we know exactly how our dogs feel. It’s about being curious enough to notice, listen and try to understand their experience.

It changes the way we see our dogs. And that changes the relationship. 💚🐾

A really special Panda moment today 💜

✨ Tashi ✨

Session two with lovely Tashi today 💛

Her guardian reports she’s been coping twice as well at home since our first session, which is a pretty wonderful update.

Today we did a little work around resilience, always keeping an eye on what Tashi was telling us.

When things felt a bit much, we paused and I offered her a short Reiki session. She responded really beautifully. There was some shaking, which may have been connected to the noises around us, the Reiki, or simply her body processing everything. We can’t know for sure, so we just observed and gave her space.

Then came one of those lovely big sighs. 💛

No pushing. No need to “get over it”. Just supporting her, listening and helping her find her way back to feeling safe.

Really lovely session with this sensitive girl. 🐾
