I have been grooming since 2013 and worked with dogs in general care and training roles since 2007. All dogs are given a 1-2-1 appointment where they are the only dog in the salon, unless there are multiple dogs from the same family. Specializing in nervous dogs, I use my 10+ years experience in dog training to help them feel as happy and relaxed as possible. You can rest assured that your dog will not be pushed if they are finding things to stressful. I use a variety of techniques to help calm dogs including gentle massage, Ttouch movements and, of course, lots of tasty treats! My furry clients have thoroughly enjoyed finding treats on the snuffle mat and licking cream cheese or peanut butter to distract them from the groom. This is all with owners permission prior to the groom. By APPOINTMENT ONLY, Our services available include:
FULL GROOM - this includes the full works. Bath and blow dry, nails cut, ears cleaned and plucked if required, brush out and any trimming/clipping/styling required. BATH AND BRUSH - Bath and blow dry, brush out, nail clip, ears cleaned and feet/eyes tidied, if required. This is great for short haired breeds, double coated breeds and long haired dogs to maintain the coat between full grooms. DESHEDDING- We offer a deshedding mudbath treatment which is great for loosening up dead/compacted hair, helping your dog feel light and fresh. This is can be added on to full grooms and bath and brush appointments. Ideal for short haired and double coated breeds. BLUEBERRY FACIAL- This is an add on treatment for full grooms and bath and brush appointments. Great for both long and short haired breeds, our facial spa adds an extra touch for dogs prone to eye and beard staining, helping to loosen up tear build up under the eyes, clean folds and freshen up grotty beards. PAWDICURE- we have an add on spa with a special paw wash to help soften hard skin on the pads, along with a paw pad butter which helps protect from hard surfaces, ice melting salts, and hot tarmac. This service is also available as a stand alone appointment which includes paw cleaning, nail clipping and filing, paw protector cream and a paw/pad trim, if required. PUPPY GROOM - For dogs under 6 months old this is the ideal introduction to grooming. This includes bath and blow dry, nails cut, ears cleaned, pads, hygiene areas and eyes cleared, if required, and brush out. This will all be taken at the pups pace and include lots of cuddles and treats to make it as positive an experience as possible. NAIL CLIPPING- available for dogs of all sizes, cats and small animals
TRAINING VISIT- I offer different types of training/confidence building visits tailored to your dogs needs.
-Professional groom training - Many dogs struggle with certain aspects or professional grooming, be it handling, sound sensitivity, nail clipping, table work etc
-Husbandry training- You may wish to book a session for you and your dog where I can help teach you both how to maintain their coat at home between grooms. This can also include desensitization to ear cleaning, nail clipping, teeth cleaning, general handling and grooming tools. We also have a shop which stock natural treats and chews, grooming products, supplements and more! Collection appointments available
