🎆 Firework season will be here before we know it! 🎇

I know we have quite a few dogs at CBC who really struggle with fireworks and other loud noises, so I wanted to share this upcoming local workshop for anyone who may find it helpful.

Calm Canine Dog Training, Arlene and Absolutely Pawsome, Kirsten have teamed up with Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist, Ashley to run a Firework Flash Event. Looking at noise sensitivities and phobias, recognising the early signs of stress, practical strategies you can put in place and when medication may be appropriate.

One of the biggest things with firework anxiety is trying to prepare before firework season is in full swing, rather than waiting until your dog is already struggling ❤️

📅 27th September

⏰ 11am – 2:30pm

If you have a dog who finds fireworks difficult or you simply want to be better prepared this year, this could be a really useful workshop. 🐾

Full details and booking information are on the poster.

☀️ And that’s me officially finished for the next two weeks! ☀️

Time for a wee break to switch off, spend some quality time with my family and recharge the batteries.

I couldn’t have asked for a better way to finish this half of the year. Every single dog this week has been an absolute pleasure to work with and it’s been so lovely seeing everyone’s progress.

A special mention has to go to this handsome lad, Jake 💙 He is making phenomenal progress and works so incredibly hard every single session. He’s the happiest wee soul and his smile says it all! Dogs like Jake are exactly why I love what I do.

Although I’m away, Karen will still be working behind the scenes, so if you need anything at all, just drop her an email at [email protected] and she’ll be happy to help.

Thank you all, as always, for trusting me with your wonderful dogs. I hope you all have a fantastic couple of weeks and I’ll look forward to seeing everyone when I’m back!

As we get ready to head off to the Flyball Open World Cup next week 🌍🐾, we’ve been lucky enough to introduce some of the amazing humans making the journey with us… but the truth is, getting The Flying Scots to this stage has been a total team effort 💙🩷

There’s no “I” in The Flying Scots Flyball Team 🐶🔥!

We want to say a HUGE thank you to all of our incredible team members who may not be travelling with us, but who have played such a massive part in getting us here. This team is built on friendship, family, teamwork, encouragement, and a whole lot of passion and fire 💙🩷 Without every single person involved, we wouldn’t be where we are today!

We know you’ll all be cheering us on loudly from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 and we can’t wait to make you proud at the World Cup! 🌍🏆⚽️🥎
