Canine Hydrotherapist
Self-Employed | Livingston, West Lothian, Scotland | 1–2 Days Per Week
Canine Bodywork Clinic Ltd is looking for a qualified Canine Hydrotherapist to join our team on a self-employed basis. We are seeking a motivated, professional therapist who is passionate about canine rehabilitation and committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. The successful candidate will initially work 1–2 days per week within our dedicated canine rehabilitation clinic in Livingston, West Lothian.
The Role
The role will include:
• Delivering individualised canine hydrotherapy using an underwater treadmill
• Monitoring patient response and progress and adapting treatment appropriately
• Maintaining accurate and professional clinical records
• Communicating effectively and professionally with clients and veterinary professionals
• Working with a varied rehabilitation caseload
• Maintaining high standards of patient care, safety and welfare
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
• A recognised qualification in Canine Hydrotherapy
• Appropriate professional insurance
• Practical experience using an underwater treadmill
• Good clinical reasoning and observational skills
• Excellent communication and client care skills
• A professional, reliable and compassionate approach
• Confidence working independently within their professional scope of practice
• A commitment to ongoing CPD and professional development
Desirable
We would also welcome applicants with:
• Further study or additional qualifications relevant to canine hydrotherapy and rehabilitation
• Current membership of an appropriate professional organisation
• Experience working with orthopaedic and neurological patients
• Experience managing more complex rehabilitation cases
• Evidence of relevant ongoing CPD
• Experience working within a veterinary referral environment
