We recently had a birthday at the Pawfect Retreat Hydrotherapy centre.
This is Luna (Madam Luna to those who know her) and she is a Great Dane who recently celebrated her 12th birthday!
Luna has been attending hydrotherapy; both pool and underwater treadmill for many years as maintenance in an elderly dog. About 6 months ago Luna transitioned over to Class IV laser therapy as the pool and treadmill became too much for her. Luna is blind and deaf (and a little bit daft 🤣) and in recent years has developed severe hind limb weakness and neurological deficits, potentially caused by lumbar sacral disease and IVDD. Since commencing her twice weekly laser sessions Luna has gone from strength to strength and can at times act like a cheeky little puppy ❤️
Luna is one of the oldest dogs we see at our hydro centre and we all look forward to her visits, as she is a total sweetheart…… although for a blind dog she somehow always knows where the treat jar is 🤔 😝
Keep up the good work Luna and we look forward to celebrating again with you next year!

And that’s a wrap for the Pawfect Retreat Hotel boarding facilities 💔

As all our lovely customers are aware we made the heartbreaking decision a couple of months ago to permanently close the Hotel aspect of Pawfect. We have already explained our reasons why and feel this is still the right decision for both us personally as owners and for our lovely Pawfect staff.
Our last Hotel guests have now checked in and we will make their final stay one to remember 😁. To say we will miss all our regular hotel guests is an understatement 🥺, the place is going to feel very quiet.

We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone for their extremely kind words since the announcement and for all your continued support, we really do love you all 🥰

But now it’s time for new adventures…… Pawfect is restructuring our daycare and we plan to make it the best doggy daycare around……. Training classes will also be getting a make over and will continue to go from strength to strength with our lovely trainers Sharon and Lynn!
Hydrotherapy will also be changing and branching out to become a rehabilitation centre offering more than just hydro.

These things will take time to implement so please bear with us but hopefully you will all see Pawfect evolving and commencing with our renovations and a new chapter in the PR story.

We now have a smaller team, faces you will already know and love: please welcome our new
‘A team’………Yvette, Ed, lib, Nikita, Ethan, and Vic 🥰 👏🏻👏🏻
From Monday 20th April you will see them everyday at the ‘daycare school gates’ welcoming in all our doggy regulars……. And they have been working away behind the scenes coming up with lots of new daycare entertainment ideas!

We are all very excited and eager to start this new chapter and look forward to you joining us….
