🌾 GRASS SEED CHECK 🌾

Grass seed season isn’t quite over yet! Their pointed, barbed shape means they can become caught in your dog’s coat and work their way into the skin.

After walks through long or dry grass, take a moment to check:

🐾 Between the toes and pads
👂 Around the ears and visible ear opening
👀 Around the eyes and nose
🐕 Under the armpits and tummy
🌿 Around the base of the tail

Look out for sudden paw licking, limping, head shaking, sneezing, swelling or a watery, squinting eye.

You can remove any loose seeds sitting on the surface of the coat. If one appears embedded—or your dog is uncomfortable—please contact your vet rather than attempting to remove it yourself.

A quick check after every walk could prevent a very painful problem. 💚

♻️ Re-sharing this video from last year, when I first became aware of how some flea and tick treatments can enter our waterways and affect the wider environment.
For most of the year, I use Verm-X flea and tick repellent alongside regular hands-on flea checks, which I aim to do weekly.
I may still use a veterinary flea treatment when I feel the risk is higher—for example, before taking Quartz on holiday into a different environment. When I do, I apply it well in advance and carefully follow the veterinary guidance, including advice around bathing and swimming, to help reduce environmental contamination.
This is simply the approach I’ve chosen for Quartz: regular checking, assessing his individual risk and using veterinary treatment when appropriate. Flea and tick prevention isn’t necessarily one-size-fits-all, so it’s always worth discussing your own dog’s needs with your vet.

All food is suitable for VEGETARIANS with lots of VEGAN options. 🌱💚🫶

Dawn 💜 and Gary 💜 from Pawsitively Does It will be hosting the 10 fun dog classes. Booking In table will be out on the field, but we have already posted the online booking in links to save you from queuing up.

We have arranged for many guests stalls to attend, so please visit their stands. ❤️

🚗 ENTRANCE & CAR PARKING - Please follow our parking VOLUNTEERS who will get you parked safely and make sure we get everyone in.

There are very limited disabled bays, so please arrange your arrival early to ensure a space.

🐕 DOG OWNERS attending with DOGS - ALL DOGS must be on leads and kept under control at all times. Please keep on a short lead and consider other visitors on the day.

Clean up after your pet. Bins are available near the gazebos. Extra p**p bags are located at the BOOKING IN TABLE.
