Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary Registered Charity Number 1157210 is a small foster home based animal sanctuary in the Merseyside area, set up in July 2013. We primarily focus on rescuing unwanted/stray cats and rabbits, however we will aim to help any animal in need. We currently have several foster homes

throughout Merseyside and we are very keen to recruit more! To find out more information, please get in touch; [email protected]
We have a strict non-destruction policy and will keep every animal in our care until a forever home can be found. We carry out home visits on prospective new homes, this is to ensure that the area is safe/suitable and also provide a time for advice on adopting a rescue pet and answering any questions the prospective owner has. Home visits are not to look at how clean a house is or
what the decor is like! All Rescue Me animals are deflea'd, wormed, microchipped, neutered (if the animal is too young, he/she will be recalled for neutering). Our philosophy is to accept an animal into our care based solely on its need and not on any other physical characteristic, providing we have a suitable foster home free. We believe that by looking after a rescue pet in a home environment we are able to fully assess the animal, understand its needs and the type of home he/she will require and ultimately match them to a suitable home. We are very excited about our new venture but currently only have a handful of volunteers, with more support we can achieve things faster and rescue even more needy animals...please come and join us, we'll welcome you aboard!!! We are desperate for donations, please help to keep us afloat!! Paypal; [email protected]

❤️🌹LOVELY LITTLE LARA IS LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER HOME 🐾🏡

This beautiful little girl is 16-weeks old and is ready to go home.

Lara is a super friendly and outgoing little kitten who loves to play 🧸☄️. She is as mad as a box of frogs 🐸 but is adorable with it. There is never a dull moment when Lara is around.

Lara would suit most homes but will need plenty of enrichment to keep her entertained. Please state what enrichment you can provide her with when applying to adopt her. She can be homed with friendly resident cats, children aged 5-years+ and is young enough to get used to a calm cat-savvy dog.

Lara is in foster at our HQ in Melling and has been neutered, chipped, parasite treated and has had her first vaccination. If interested in adopting her and you can collect her by Sunday 14th June, please call us on 07952017696 and leave a voicemail. Adoption fee and vetting applies.

Handsome Teddy is ready to find his forever home

🐶 Name; Teddy, 5yr old Male Pug

🐶 Background; Came into our care as his owner passed away so limited background history

🐶 Personality; Really sweet boy who takes everything in his stride

💩 House training; Unknown due to his background so may need help while settling

🏃‍♀️Exercise; Loves his walks and nice active boy but care is needed with pugs in hot weather

🏡 Home/garden needs; Needs direct access to a secure garden to help with toilet training

👶Minimum age of children; 10 years old

🐕Resident dogs (must be already neutered, this is not negotiable); Gets on great with other dogs, always lived with others,

🐈 Cat tested; Can live with dog savy cats

🩺 Medical issues; He did have eye ulcers on arrival which have healed, our vet has said he can continue to have lubricating eye drops to keep his eyes healthy. He also had ulcerated elbows on admission which have now healed well. Pugs are known for their medical issues so whilst he has been signed off from our vet, people need to be aware of the issues regarding the breed.

All our dogs are neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, parasite treated and come with 5 weeks free insurance.

If you live within an hour of L31, please complete an adoption application form to enquire with AS MUCH INFO as possible; Due to the amount of applications we are unable to reply to unsuccessful applications

Emergency Admission
When this sweet long-haired tortie was spotted in a terrible state 😿 the incredible volunteer group Moggies & Doggies rushed out to trap her and brought her to us.

We're told that eight years ago, she was trapped, neutered, and returned (TNR’d) as a feral cat. For all that time, she's navigated the harsh realities of life on the streets. But recently, she fell into tough times—her stunning long coat became severely matted, and she desperately needed help 🥺

On arrival our clinical team got straight to work. Today, she has been:
✨ Completely and gently de-matted
✨ Given a full vet check & blood tests
✨ Given a dental
✨ Parasite treated & vaccinated
✨ Microchipped

Although she is now toothless, she is no longer in pain, and feeling a LOT more comfortable now she's been de-matted 🥹

Wonderfully, she seems to be friendly 🤗 so will hopefully allow us to help her retire from the streets 🙏 No more cold nights, no more scrounging for food. Just being absolutely spoilt rotten in the purrrfect forever home once she has recovered 😻

Our Tortie Girl needs your help 🥹 Zero Government Funding 🏥🚙

Emergency admissions like this beautiful tortie are only possible with your help as ourselves & Moggies & Doggies receive no government funding, relying solely on donations.

If you're able to help with our Tortie girl's costs, please consider a split donation to ourselves and Moggies & Doggies using the links below, we'd be extremely grateful 🙏 🥰

🐈🧡 Wanted: One Human Staff Member for Her Royal Highness Teegan 👑

After 9 years of perfecting the art of being a cat, Teegan is searching for a quiet INDOOR kingdom and a human who understands that affection is a privilege, not a right.

This beautiful ginger lady enjoys the finer things in life: comfy sofas, Dreamies, lap time, head bumps and being adored. In return, she'll reward her chosen person with purrs, companionship and enough personality to fill an entire house.

Now, full disclosure: Teegan does occasionally wake up and choose sass. If she's not in the mood, she'll let you know she'd prefer a little personal space. She's not looking for chaos, other pets or young children—just a calm, understanding home where she can relax and be herself.

Think of her as less "high maintenance" and more "luxury edition."

Teegan is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, parasite treated and recently had a dental, so she's feeling fabulous and ready for her next chapter. She's currently in foster in Preston.

If your idea of the perfect companion is a loving older cat with a little bit of spice and a lot of character, Teegan may just be the girl you've been waiting for.

📞 If interested in adopting Teegan, please call 07952 017 696 and leave a voicemail. Adoption fee of £125 and vetting applies.

Five tiny reasons we do what we do. 🍼🐾

Meet our newest, littlest admissions. These five precious puppies arrived in our care a few days ago and are now 3 weeks old after their mother became poorly and was sadly unable to look after them.
Because they are so young, they require full-time handrearing—which means our dedicated team is currently on a strict schedule of bottle-feeding, weighing, and around-the-clock TLC to make sure they thrive.
It is exhausting work, but seeing these five little bellies full and watching them sleep soundly makes every single sleepless hour worth it. They are safe, they are warm, and their new chapter starts right now.
Welcome little ones 💚

The pups are running through supplies right now and we rely solely on donations, so if you're able to help support them with a one off or monthly donation, we'd be ever so grateful 🥰
💚Donations can be sent on facebook or via;

✨Consider donating supplies for them from our Amazon Wishlist✨

🏡 Please share to help us to find Cassie’s forever home!

🐶 Name: Cassie
🐶 Breed: Cane Corso
🐶 Age: 5 and a half years old
🐶 S*x: Female
🐶 Background: Cassie was abandoned tied to a post 2 and a half years ago, supposed ‘rescuers’ arranged for her to go to a breeder/hoarder situation and left her there...when this tenant was being evicted, the original ‘rescuers’ did not come for her and she was left desperately in need and shivering in the snow in a make shift pen until we stepped in and offered her a proper rescue space. Cassie was originally imported from Romania as a puppy, which is why she has sadly been cropped and docked 💔
🐶 Personality: Cassie is a happy girl who loves to play, she can be excitable at times and mouth but is easily distractible. She bonds to her people, typical of the breed and is very loving and loyal. She doesn’t know her size and tries to be a lapdog.
🕓 Left alone: upto 6 hours
💩 House training: there is a good chance she is house trained as she is fairly clean in her kennel.
🚗 Travelling: She travels well.
🏃‍♀️Exercise: Cassie is lively and will need 2 decent walks a day with someone physically capable of safely handling such a large powerful breed.
✂️Grooming: the Cane Corso coat does not need huge amounts of grooming.

👀 Adopter Requirements: Cane Corso experience is essential.
🏡 Home/garden needs: Cassie will need a home with people savvy with guarding breeds. A secure private garden is a must and a safe space to separate her when any guests arrive. Cassie will likely become territorial in her home and want to protect it and her family.
👶Minimum age of children: 18 years
🐕Resident dogs: Cassie needs to be an only dog
🐈 Cat tested: Not suitable to live with cats
🩺 Medical issues: Cassie has a clean bill of health.

All our dogs are neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, parasite treated and come with 5 weeks free insurance.

If you live within an hour of L31, please complete an adoption application form to enquire with AS MUCH INFO as possible;

❤️ XTRAORDINARILY PRETTY XITA IS LOOKING 👀 FOR HER FOREVER HOME 🐾🏡

Xita is a beautiful, healthy tortie-tabby cat, aged about 2-years. She came into us as a stray, with her two kittens, who she has done a brilliant job of raising. She is now ready to ‘fly the nest’ herself and find her own home. Despite having a rough start, she settled into her foster home well, so shouldn’t take too long settling into her forever home.

Xita is a clever little cat and has a calm, wise personality. She has a stunning striped coat and large yellow -green eyes. She has taken the job of bringing up her kittens seriously, but it’s now time for her to get back out there and restart her life with a loving family of her own. She is a real character and makes her foster family laugh by collecting things from around the house and bringing them to her bed ❤️. She loves sitting next to her fosterers and getting strokes on the neck but, when she’s had enough, she’ll let you know!

Xita will need a pet- free home, with no young children. Any children in a home should be aged 13-years+. She is in foster in West Derby and has been neutered, chipped, parasite treated and has had her first vaccination. She will need outdoor access once settled in her new home.

If interested in adopting Xita, please call us on 07952017696 and leave a voicemail. Adoption fee of £125 and vetting applies.
