Chloe: I saw lovely Bagheera for his groom recently. His humans are doing an amazing job at grooming his fur at home so it was in lovely condition, I started with my wide tooth comb to remove any shedding fur and check if he had any sneaky knots. I used my small white clippers to remove a knot from one of his armpits, this is a place where a lot of fluffy cats get knotted. I also trimmed around his fluffy bum to help him keep it clean, I trimmed his claws so that he doesn't get caught on things at home and the fluff on the underside of his paws got a trim to stop him skidding on the floor at home.

Chloe: I saw Snowy yesterday for his regular groom, isn't he gorgeous 😻 I always start by giving him a good brush with my wide tooth comb to remove his shedding fur, this time I also used my purple zoom groom too. He's a bit of a monkey so when it's time to trim his bum I have to use the towel as he likes to try and give me a nip but it's all to benefit him as he won't get a messy bum. I also trimmed his claws as they are rather sharp and can get caught in things.

Today we said our goodbyes to one of our lovely clients Mandy. We have been working with her and her husband since January 2024 and their two beautiful cats Brandi and Bailey.

Mandy always had a smile and a hug for both me and Chloe on our visits and we had many a fun chat. She will be much missed by everyone who knew her and she was one in a million.

Rest well Mandy 💜🐈‍⬛ We promise to keep looking after the kitties as long as they need us.

A big warm welcome to the family to Asrid and Tyr 💜🐈‍⬛ They have been with us a week now and have been settling in really well. They arrived at 8 weeks old and are being kept in separate room from Tristan and Izzy.

We went with Norse names after losing Loki in May to honour him. Astrid has turned into my cuddle buddy and Tyr is a little whirlwind! They have decided my partner is their playmate in chaos and I am there for safety and comfort so far.

I will write some blog posts about them soon as it’s been a bit of a roller coaster with them already!

Katie - You may have noticed that I’ve been absent from our social media posts for a couple of months now. I’ve had a lot going on around me with my close family and partner.

A couple of months ago my mum was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer that needed surgery to remove it within a month. She had 1/3 of a lung removed last year due to cancer already. She was told a few days before surgery last month that it was worse than they first thought and chemotherapy was a definite.

There were a few early set backs post surgery but since she’s been back home every day I can see how much better she is feeling. We got some great news before the weekend that they tested all the lymph nodes they took (they took over 40 instead of the usual 12!) and there is no cancer in any of them. Looks like they got it all and chemotherapy isn’t needed after all.

Such a weight off my mind and those around me. I didn’t realise how heavy it all was until it was lifted a bit. Here’s to the recovery journey and living a long and happy life 💜

Chloe: I saw Dorian recently for his regular appointment. He's a fluffy boy so I always give him a good comb with my wide tooth comb to remove his shedding fur and to check for any knots that he may have. I give him a trim around the back end with my clippers to help him keep it clean when he is using the litter tray, I also trimmed his claws as they were very sharp and can get caught in things.

Chloe: This is lovely Poppy. I saw her today for her regular sanitary trim. I always start by giving her a check over with my wide tooth comb to make sure she has no knots before giving her a trim around the bum. This will help her to keep her back end clean and prevent anything getting stuck in all of her fluff.

After work tomorrow I'll be off for a week and will be back on Monday the 17th so all messages that come in for me next week will be answered when I'm back working.

Chloe: This is George. I saw him yesterday for his regular grooming session. His back legs were rather clumpy but after a really good comb with my wide tooth comb it was back to normal. He usually gets bits shaved off with the clippers but luckily this time everything was able to be combed out and then I gave his claws a trim.
