🐾 A Wet & Playful Tuesday! 🌧️🐶

A wet one today, but that certainly didn’t stop the fun! 😂

Little Woody had one of the best mornings I’ve seen him have, zooming around with most of the gang! He started off winding Nellie up, then moved on to Mabes and Oslo… safe to say he’ll be tired tonight! 🤣💨

Maud was busy dishing out her usual smooches and cuddles to Luna and Apollo ❤️ Meanwhile, little Pops had us in stitches trying to get her jumper off! 😂

Once everyone was in, we opened up inside to escape the wet weather. The gang were more than happy running around and playing go find in the dry! 🐾🔍 Eddie was on a mission to get Shannon’s attention, carrying TWO toys around with him… anything for a bit of fuss! 😂🧸

The afternoon was all about slowing things down, with plenty of naps and the gang getting cosy on the beds and chairs. 💤❤️

Hope everyone’s had a lovely Tuesday! 🐶🐾💕

🐾 **WHY DAYCARE ISN’T RIGHT FOR EVERY DOG**

We love seeing our Precious Paws dogs making friends, growing in confidence and enjoying their days with us. But daycare isn't suitable for every dog, and understanding why is so important.

🐶 **Puppies and young dogs**
The first year is crucial for physical and behavioural development. Growing bodies need protecting, and puppies need lots of sleep. Too much activity and stimulation can do more harm than good. That's why we limit attendance times and introduce our younger dogs gradually.

💜 **Anxious or nervous dogs**
Some dogs find groups overwhelming. Being quiet doesn't necessarily mean they're happy, and repeatedly exposing them to stressful situations can make anxiety worse.

⚡ **Highly aroused dogs**
We often hear that a dog needs daycare to burn off energy. But sometimes that's the very opposite of what they need! Constant chasing, wrestling and an inability to switch off can leave dogs overstimulated and frustrated. Learning to relax around other dogs matters just as much as playing with them.

🐕 **Dogs who prefer their own company**
As dogs mature, many become more selective about their friends. Some prefer just one or two companions, others are happiest with their humans. They don't all need a busy social life!

💜 **THE PRECIOUS PAWS WAY**

Every dog is assessed, introduced gradually and carefully matched with suitable companions. Our team understands breed traits, behaviour, body language and the importance of managing arousal.

Our days balance social time, enrichment, sniffing, play and plenty of genuine rest.

Sometimes we recommend shorter sessions, a break or even that daycare isn't the right choice. They're not always easy conversations, but the dog's welfare must come first.

**A dog coming home exhausted doesn't necessarily mean they've had a good day. We'd much rather see a dog who's enjoyed themselves, felt comfortable and been able to relax.**

And occasionally, looking after a dog's best interests means saying no. 💜🐾

🐾 Fantastic Friday! 🐾

A brilliant Friday to finish off the week in daycare! ❤️🐶

We started off with a chilled half an hour with Pandora and Charlie before the rest of the gang arrived. Then Betsy came flying in like a steam train, showing off her excited zoomies and that big smile! 😂🥰

Buffy, Nancy and the crazy duo Millie and Henry had a brilliant play, with a bit of ‘touch’ work thrown in to help everyone disengage from the fun. Mylo enjoyed a good game of chase and, of course, winding Jordan up! 😂 Arlo was also getting the chase going as usual, so it was no surprise he needed a good rest in the afternoon! 💤

Now for Betsy’s little moment of the day… 🤣 She got a bit jealous watching Millie and Henry having cuddles on Shannon’s lap, and for the FIRST time since she’s been with us, we heard her bark! 😂😂 Safe to say she had something to say about that! ❤️

To finish off the day, we had the sniffari open for some sniffing and relaxing before a little wrestle with a few of the gang. Jordan’s side was taking on Kev, Arlo and Nancy… and let’s just say it was a proper little battle! 😂😂🐾

It’s been a really enjoyable Friday with lots of laughs, playtime and cuddles to finish off another brilliant week!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend, and we’ll see you all next week! ❤️🐶🐾

😂🐾 Thursday Madness! 🐾😂

Lots of laughs with the gang today! Betty came bouncing in and was straight over the tyres, getting the day started 😂 Enzo, Robbo, Doug and Luna Lab were soon flying about with the zoomies and, of course, a bit of toy robbing thrown in for good measure! 🤣

With Apollo not here for Romeo to wind up, Nellie became today’s target 😂🙈 Meanwhile, Maud was busy giving Luna Lab’s face a good licking… not sure Luna had much choice in the matter! 🤣❤️

It was a brilliant morning despite what the weather had planned for us! 🌧️ This afternoon, we welcomed big Rufus back for his hour session, and he absolutely smashed it! 👏🏻 So lovely to have him back, and he had a brilliant play with Lola Beagle 🐾❤️

As the rain started coming down, the sniffari was opened back up to help bring a bit of calmness to the gang. It was then time for chew toys, comfy beds and a few well-earned naps to recharge before heading home. 😴🐶

Hope everyone has had a lovely Thursday! ❤️🐾 Roll on Friday and more daycare fun! 🤪💕

🐾 Wonderful Wednesday! 🐾

A lovely start to the day with the early gang, with Annie and Doug kicking things off with their usual zoomies 😂 Callie showing us just how fast she can run, with Leo and Arlo joining in on the madness!

Apollo joined us today and had a good play with Theo and a few of the gang 🥰 Maud was busy with a game of tug of war with Shannon, while Kev and Bella enjoyed a good back scratch on the toys 😂 Annabelle and Mabes were back to their weekly run around, and Doug was making the most of the sunshine, lying flat on his back! ☀️🐶 Plenty of the gang enjoyed a bit of sunbathing while it lasts!

We headed into the sniffari for a good sniff and to help everyone wind down before the afternoon. After a mad morning, most of the gang were ready to recharge their batteries and enjoy a bit of chill time 😴🐾

☀️🐾 A brilliant Tuesday in daycare! 🐾☀️

A lovely morning with the sun making an appearance 🌞 Started off with lots of fuss and cuddles for the early gang Poppy, Luna, Enzo, Doug and crazy Ted showing us exactly why he got his name 😂🤪

Romeo came sprinting in ready to wind Apollo up, Woody got the zoomies after seeing little Bonnie and then spent most of the day flirting with her 😂❤️ Little Mabes joined in the fun, while Maud was dishing out her usual morning smooches 😘 Winston got the full treatment from the gang today… I think everyone missed him! 🥰

It was time for the sniffari and some games of go find to help everyone calm down and get those noses working 👃🐾

Then we had Oslo in for his afternoon session, and he absolutely smashed it! 👏🏻 Learning that it’s okay to relax and he doesn’t have to be going at 100mph all the time 😂 He was brilliant! ❤️

The day ended with some well-earned naps and chill time before getting ready for training tonight 💤🐶

Hope everyone has had a lovely Tuesday! ❤️🐾

🏆🐾 PUP OF THE MONTH – BEAUTIFUL BETTY! 💜

Our gorgeous little terrier cross, Betty, has come such a long way, and we couldn't be prouder!

Betty joined us a couple of years ago in Puppy Playgroup, followed by training. But life wasn't always easy for Betty and her family.

With a BIG terrier personality, Betty was quick to become over-aroused and struggled with guarding things she considered hers, including the sofa, toys and her family's belongings.

Over the past several months, we've worked closely with Betty and her wonderful mum and dad, understanding her breed traits, building trust and confidence, and helping her make better choices.

And what a transformation! ❤️

Betty is now the life and soul of Thursdays, with lots of friends and wonderful relationships with our team. Everyday interactions that once caused difficulties, from handling toys to putting on her harness, are now relaxed and enjoyable.

This is why knowledgeable daycare staff matter! 🐾

Understanding breeds, behaviour, body language and arousal levels means daycare can be so much more than play. It's about knowing when to support, when to step in, how to manage excitement and how to help each dog develop emotionally and socially.

Great daycare doesn't just entertain dogs. It helps them thrive. 💜

Betty's progress is down to patience, consistency, teamwork and a family who have worked so hard to understand their little girl.

We're incredibly proud of you all!

🌟 Betty, our very deserving Pup of the Month! 🌟

🐾 FRIDAY FUN AT PRECIOUS PAWS! 🐾💜

And that's a wrap on another fabulous week with our gorgeous gang! 🐶❤️

🤣 Just LOOK at Kev's face in our cover pic! This dog quite literally has an elastic face and about 1,000 different expressions! Never a dull moment with this boy around! 😂

😈 The terrible twins were back in action, creating their own special brand of chaos as always! Wouldn't have them any other way... well, most days! 🤣

🐾 Lovely Lola Beagle popped in to join the Friday crowd and made herself right at home!

💕 Poor Betsy was absolutely devastated that her beloved Shannon had the audacity to take a day off! How VERY dare she?! 😂❤️

🐶 And it was SPANIEL HEAVEN today! Cassie, Rosie, Eevee, Betsy, Mylo and Lemmy all bringing their own special kind of spaniel madness! Several appear to have actually learned to FLY! ✈️🤣 Check out the pics for photographic evidence!

Another day full of happy faces, fabulous friendships, playtime, enrichment and plenty of Precious Paws fun! 💜🐾
