We found her close to where she'd bogged off. Clearly her heart went mid-chase. She looked peaceful.
We buried her in the other woods, a place where we've spent many hours d*cking about, hooning and adventuring.
She was laid to rest with her ball on a rope and my whistle, we have no need for them now.
I am so happy she left the world doing what she loved, being an absolute terror, causing us grief and after a lovely walk with one of her most loved humans; rather than fading into doddery auld age she went out with a bang.
She's changed my whole life, she taught me more than anyone ever has before, we've seen some things together, ups and downs in life and terrain, it has been a privilege to know her as my best friend.
Love that dog
