The three most important things Gayle looks for in a farrier are:

✅ Technical ability
✅ Reliability
✅ Patience

Our super farrier, David Howell, excels in all three!
Dave has a particular interest in showjumping, having jumped horses all his life, so he truly understands the demands placed on competition horses – particularly showjumpers – which is incredibly important to us at GW Equine.

His attention to detail is second to none. He’s also very reliable, coming out within 24 hours if a shoe is lost and always sticking to a regular shoeing programme. He has had great success dealing with a wide variety of horses and issues, from shiverers and rehabilitation cases to young stock, difficult & nervous horses, and we find his patience helps ensure that young or anxious horses learn to become confident and easy to shoe.

Thank you, Dave, for being such an integral part of GW Equine. As they say, ‘No foot, no horse!’ We’re incredibly grateful for your support and exceptionally proud to have you as part of the team. 🙏🏼

He can drive a forklift, he fixes things, he cuts hedges… is there anything Ben can’t do?! 🤣👷 everyone loves a tidy bush!
