🐶👅 TONGUES OUT TUESDAY IS BACK! 👅🐶

You remember him... you loved him... Douglas has returned for another edition of Tongues Out Tuesday! 🎉

This handsome guy stole our hearts a few months ago with that iconic tongues out Tuesday puppy photo and this week he was back in the building but this time for a much bigger milestone, his neuter surgery! 🩺✂️

He handled it like a champ and lapped up lots of cuddles with our team! 🧡

We have had a female stray cat brought to us, found near No Mans Land. She is chipped but it is not registered and she was not wearing a collar.

🌟Star of the week 🌟

Meet Torra!🧡

This gorgeous ginger boy came to us after his owners noticed he wasn't using his back left leg normally. Vet Erin suspected a hip injury, so we admitted him for investigations.

X-rays confirmed that Torra had fractured his hip and needed surgery to stabilise the joint. Our orthopaedic surgeon Sue performed a Femoral Head and Neck Excision to remove the painful part of his hip bone, and he was an absolute star throughout his entire stay. 🐾

We're thrilled to share that Torra has made a brilliant recovery and is back home playing with his sister! 🎉

Here he is, at his latest vet appointment where he has been given the all clear to carry on exploring. Go Torra! 🐱✨

Our receptionist Holly couldn't resist a cuddle (honestly, can you blame her?), and we think these two were simply meant to meet. Two festive names, one very happy waiting room! 😍

Cats need summer care too! ☀️💧

While cats may seem independent, warm weather can increase the risk of dehydration - especially for older cats, kittens, and those with underlying health conditions.

To help keep your cat cool and comfortable this summer:
💧 Provide fresh water throughout the day
🧊 Try multiple water bowls around the house
🌤️ Keep cool, shaded areas available
🥣 Wet food can help increase water intake
🏠 Encourage pets to stay indoors during the hottest part of the day

Some cats only shown subtle signs when they're unwell. Keep an eye out for signs such as lethargy, panting, drooling or loss of appetite.
