**CUSTOMER UPDATE**
I am slowly working my way through the list so if you haven’t been contacted yet, please don’t worry as I will be in touch very soon with an appointment.
We have made some changes to keep you and your pet’s safe whilst attending an appointment. Below is the procedure you will be asked to follow and what measures we have put in place.
OWNERS
• Drop offs and Collections will be made from the back entrance. Please follow signs to the main yard and park down the bottom on the right hand side.
• PLEASE use the hand sanitiser provided on your ARRIVAL and DEPARTURE.
• Please stick to your appointment times as we must avoid more than one customer here at any one time. So your prompt drop off and collection is greatly appreciated.
• Once instructed, please proceed through the back gate in to a holding pen, here you will be asked to remove your dog’s belongings (leads, collars, flea collars etc.)
• You will then be asked to put your dog into the play pen. We will be standing back at a safe distance at all times.
• When safe to do so, you can retreat to your car.

GROOMERS
• Once your dog is in the play pen and you have exited the holding area, we will collect your dog using the appropriate PPE. Your dog will be placed straight in the bath no matter what condition the coat is in.
• Once we have bathed your dog, we will be disinfecting the holding area and play pen ready for the next appointment. All handles, latches, doors etc. will be wiped down after each customer.
• We will not be De-matting any coats at this present time as we feel that your dog’s welfare is our main priority and it is not a necessity under the present circumstances.
• We will be advising on shorter practical trims to get your pets through these uncertain times, but will always try our best to achieve the result you wish for.
Unfortunately due to all the extra PPE, disinfectant and time cleaning down, there will be an additional £2 charge added to your normal grooming fee. I hope you all understand why these measures have been put in place, in order to keep you and our family safe.
Payment can be made by Bank Transfer or Cash, if paying by cash, please have the correct money in an envelope and pop it in the plastic wallet by the entrance.

Finally anyone who has been in any contact with Covid-19 or is showing any symptoms please DO NOT attend your appointment. Please cancel your appointment and we will get it rescheduled as soon as it is safe to do so.
Many thanks for your cooperation in these difficult times, I really do appreciate all my wonderful customers and your lovely pets.

🐾🐾Customer Notice🐾🐾

Just a quick update regarding opening up for grooming....
Its been a difficult time for us all, and I know there are a lot of doggies out there looking forward to a trim.
I could have been opened a few weeks ago now, sorry for staying closed however, I felt it wasn't worth risking the health of my customers or my young family.
I am however making preparations to open again. We have a strict protocol to follow and so there will be some changes to enable me to operate safely and adhere to social distancing.
My aim is to open the 1st of June, provided things keep improving. I will start contacting people soon regarding bookings. Priority will be given to cancelled bookings and I already have a long waiting list so please bare with me. I’m sorry but I wont be taking on any new customers for the foreseeable.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding.
Stay safe and I hope to see you all soon! 🐾

Just a quick update for my customers regarding the Covid-19 situation and your dogs. New DEFRA guidelines have now been issued meaning groomers have been given permission to open but with such stringent guidelines that in my opinion this would be neither safe, practical nor ethical.
Customers would not be allowed to drive to me as this is considered a ‘non-essential journey’ - however I could collect and deliver your dog but to keep you and myself safe I would have to keep a 2 metre distance making handover highly risky in terms of your dog escaping. I would have to fully disinfect my vehicle between dogs and only transport/groom one dog at a time. I would also need insurance to do this and after factoring in the time to cover all extra cleaning measures and travelling would make for a very expensive groom.
I would need to handle your dog to get them from my vehicle to the salon and should any dog be carrying the Covid-19 virus on its coat this will be putting me and you at risk of spreading the disease.
Again a full salon clean would have to be carried out between each dog. I would also be required to wear full PPE and dispose of this between each dog, which I do not feel is ethical or practical at this time when PPE is so desperately needed by the NHS.
I am aware that some dogs will start to suffer in the heat, but an extra few weeks of hair should not be a welfare problem, as long as you brush your dog’s coat thoroughly and correctly on a regular basis - this will mean that air can circulate right to your dog’s skin. It is only if you allow your dog’s coat to become matted that it will become a welfare issue. All I ask of you, is to please maintain your dog’s coat while I am closed, and please wait for me to re-open.
Anyone wanting help or advice at this time please get in touch. I have posted advice regarding maintaining your dog’s coat on here.

PLEASE STAY HOME! 🐾
