A huge thank you to everyone who came to our dog show today!

It was such a lovely day, and it was fantastic to see so many wonderful dogs and their humans having a great time.

I’ve also realised that taking photos of dogs is much harder than it looks! So apologies if I didn’t manage to get a picture of everyone. Getting them to sit still and look at the camera is definitely a skill in itself!

A special thank you to my daughter, who was my helper for the day. She loved helping out and meeting all of your lovely dogs.

We’re also really pleased to have raised £50 for 1st Liskeard Scout Group

A big thank you to the 1st Liskeard Scouts for inviting us and giving us the opportunity to be part of the day.

Thank you to everyone who entered, came along and supported us. We hope you all had as much fun as we did!

My own little blooper.

I spent 20 minutes recording a video for clients. Everything about it was perfect. I was so impressed because I find being in front of the camera rather tricky. Every training video I have made needs to be repeated because I lose track of what I’m supposed to be doing (thanks ADHD) then the one and only time I actually get the whole thing right first time and I didn’t actually press record

Does anyone else do this?

For me to fully get how to train the behaviour I have to feel how it works with my own dog and who wouldn’t want a dog who can walk backwards around you?

I’ve seen this advice a lot: “Just ignore it and they’ll get over it.” But it often doesn’t work.

Fear isn’t something that simply disappears on its own. If you were scared of snakes, would that fear magically vanish just because you spent months panicking every time you saw one?

Dogs are no different. Repeatedly feeling afraid doesn’t teach confidence. t teaches the brain that there’s something to be afraid of. Real progress comes from helping them feel safe.
