🐾 A Little Reminder About Appointments 🐾

Unfortunately, we've had several no-shows and last-minute cancellations this week.
We completely understand that life happens and sometimes appointments need to be changed. All we ask is that clients give us as much notice as possible if they can't make their appointment.
When a dog doesn't turn up, that appointment time has been reserved exclusively for them. In many cases, it's too late for us to fill the slot, meaning valuable time is lost that could have been offered to another client waiting for an appointment.
This week alone, several hours of appointment time were lost due to no-shows and late cancellations. As a small business, we simply cannot absorb those costs indefinitely.
To help protect our team's time and ensure appointments remain available for genuine bookings, we have updated our website to include our full Booking Policy. By booking an appointment with us, clients are automatically agreeing to these terms and conditions. We kindly ask that all clients take a few moments to read and familiarise themselves with the policy.
We appreciate the vast majority of our clients who arrive on time, keep us informed, and support our small business. ❤️

We have been made aware that protests are starting again today around 1pm. If you have an appointment with us, and the protests affect you getting here or home safely please give us a call or a text and we will do our best to re-arrange your appointment.

As always the safety of our clients and their pets are our priority 🐶🥰

Milo’s look of pure disgust that his mum dropped him off for his Handstripping session today 🤣🤣
He much preferred the scruffy terrier look he was rocking before 🐾

🐾 We at Lisburn Dog Groomers would like to say a huge thank you to all of our lovely, loyal clients for keeping us so busy lately — we truly appreciate every one of you! ❤️

Just a little heads up that the salon will be closed on:

- Monday 6th July

- Sunday 12th July until Sunday 19th July (open Monday 20th as normal)

While myself and Natasha take a much needed rest and recharge 🐶✂️

Appointments before then are now very limited and booking up fast, so if your furry friend needs a groom before the holidays, please send us a message ASAP to avoid disappointment! 🐕🐾

The training never stops 🐾

Me and Tash spent our Sunday off attending a canine first aid & CPR refresher course.

Although we’re both already qualified in first aid, it’s so important to refresh that training every few years as procedures are constantly evolving and improving.

We pride ourselves on being as qualified, knowledgeable, and prepared as possible to ensure your pets are always safe and in the best hands when in our care ❤️

Because your dogs deserve nothing less.

Our online booking system may have experienced a few issues this morning, however these have now been rectified and booking is available again 🐾

We’ve also just updated our website and online booking system - a lovely leaving gift from Emma before handing over the salon ❤️

There are still a few final images to add, but everything is now up and running and ready to rock & roll ✂️🐶

Our salon will be operating on reduced opening hours this week due to staff holidays.

Opening times:
Monday: 8am – 2pm
Tuesday: 8am – 2pm
Wednesday: 1pm – 7pm
Thursday: 8am – 2pm
Friday: Closed
Saturday: Closed
Sunday: Closed

Please bear with us when it comes to messages and phone calls, as there will only be one staff member managing appointments and enquiries during this time.

We only have a few appointments left towards the end of May, so if you’d like to get booked in, please drop us a message 😊🐶

Meet Otto the Border Terrier ✂️ 🐶

Check out Otto’s transformation! Otto has been a client of mine for a few years now and has followed me throughout my grooming journey. He’s always an absolute pleasure to groom.

Otto is handstripped — a specialist grooming technique we offer for some wire-coated breeds. Handstripping helps to maintain that harsh wire texture, keeps the coat naturally waterproof, and helps preserve the richness of the coat colour.

Handstripping isn’t suitable for every dog, as a few factors can affect whether a coat will strip well. Neutering can alter coat texture, previous clipping can soften the coat and make it unsuitable for stripping, and sometimes certain medications can affect coat condition too.

If you’ve got a wire-coated breed and would like to know whether handstripping could be suitable for your dog, drop us a message — we’d be happy to answer any questions 🐾
