🌈💔 Run free beautiful Beau 💔🌈
Yesterday we had to say the most heartbreaking goodbye to one of our very special Waggy girls, Beau.
We’ve known Beau for over 5 years, and although she was almost 6, her life was far too short. She had a sudden and devastatingly short battle with cancer, and somehow, right until the end, she remained the same strong, happy, fun-loving girl we had always known.
Beau was full of life. She adored her friends, both the two-legged ones and especially the four-legged, and she was loved by everyone at Waggy Walks. She truly didn’t have a bad bone in her body. She was a total monkey for her parents, knew exactly how to get what she wanted, and somehow always managed to get away with being a little princess! 👑❤️
And then there was the ball. 🎾
Ball was absolutely her life. Nothing could stop Beau from playing ball — even in her final days, when she was becoming so poorly, she still wanted to play. She was quite simply the strongest dog I have ever known. She never complained, never showed us her pain and just carried on being Beau.
I will always laugh remembering collection days. She would see the van and then suddenly put her brakes on when it was time to get in because, of course, Beau didn’t want to get in the normal way! She wanted me to lift her upstairs into the top crate. 😂 I still have absolutely no idea why, but she loved travelling in what we called her penthouse. 👑🚐
And then there was the HAIR! 😂 Beau was quite possibly the hairiest dog I have ever known. Whenever she came to stay, my hoover would practically go on strike afterwards — there was just no stopping it! But we didn’t care 💕
Beau also boarded with us many times and she absolutely adored our George. ❤️ Whenever we were out walking, she always wanted to know where he was. She had some very special friendships at the paddock too, especially with Poppy and Rusty, who she loved to rough and tumble with. They had so much fun together.
One of the memories that will stay with me most is from Beau’s final week. She was struggling to eat, but she was still happy to come and eat with her pals. So we had a few little breakfasts and teatimes together. 🥹❤️
A precious girl who was so loved and who brought so much happiness wherever she went.
You were such a princess, Beau, and such a special part of our Waggy family. We feel incredibly lucky to have had you in our lives for those five years. Thankyou for letting us have the pleasure ❤️
Maybe you were simply too good for this world.❤️
Go find all your old friends now, and I hope there are endless fields, endless balls and absolutely no one telling you it’s time to stop playing. 🎾🌈
Run free, sleep tight, beautiful Beau. You will never be forgotten. ❤️🐾
All our love and thoughts are with her owners at this incredibly difficult time xx
