A little about me…….
Mandy Jesson – Owner of In The Doghouse Lincoln
Mandy Jesson is a dedicated animal professional, business owner, and mum of two — as well as proud “Nannoo” to her two grandchildren. Her life and career have been built around supporting dogs and the people who love them.
For the past 11 years, Mandy has run In The Doghouse Lincoln, a well-known local dog grooming salon recognised for its honest, caring, no-nonsense approach to dog care. Over time, what started as grooming grew into a much wider mission: helping owners understand their dogs and supporting them through every stage of life.
Nine years ago, Mandy expanded into behaviour work, launching Dog Training by Mandy, where she specialises in practical, real-life training for everyday dog owners — particularly those struggling with challenging or reactive dogs. Her training style is known for being straight-talking, supportive, and focused on results that actually work in the real world.
Alongside her grooming and training work, Mandy also provides private dog walking services three days a week, supporting regular clients who want experienced, reliable handling for their dogs — particularly those who benefit from knowledgeable, structured walks.
Seeing the emotional side of pet ownership, Mandy later trained as a pet bereavement specialist and founded Passing Paws Pet Grief Coaching three years ago. Through this, she helps families navigate the difficult journey of losing a beloved pet with compassion, understanding, and practical support.
Always looking for ways to make life easier for her clients, Mandy also launched the In The Doghouse Pet Launderette in the past year, providing a simple but much-needed service for washing bulky pet bedding, coats, and accessories.
With over a decade of hands-on experience across grooming, behaviour, walking, client support, and pet loss care, Mandy has built a reputation locally for being approachable, knowledgeable, and deeply committed to both dogs and their owners. Her work is driven by one goal: helping real people with real dogs — through the good, the difficult, and everything in between.
