Hello again 🐾💜

It’s been a little quiet on here while we’ve been finding our feet, settling into our new rhythm, and working out what life looks like for Very Important Pets Lincoln.

We’re still here, still caring for some very familiar furry faces, and still doing what we love - just on a smaller, calmer, more peaceful scale.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll start sharing a little more again. Not quite as much as the old VIPPIES days, but you can expect the odd day care or boarding update, a few happy doggy photos, and some gentle tips and ideas around enrichment, settling and everyday dog care.

Thank you to everyone who has stayed with us, checked in, supported us, and trusted us with your very important pets. It means more than you know 🐶

A New Chapter Begins... Very Important Pets Lincoln 🐾

We’ve gone back to our roots.

Very Important Pets Lincoln is now the home of Sheena and Jade’s day care and foster care service, returning to the original Very Important Pets ethos from before it became VIPPIES. The simple belief that our pets are the centre of our world, and they deserve care that treats them like family.

As we settle into a slightly quieter pace of life, we’ll probably be posting a little less often than we used to. But we’ll still share the occasional adventure from the doggies in our care - those who are happy to be little social media stars.

Our Pet Shop Joys is staying too, so you’ll still see the odd update about new treats, toys and favourite products we’re stocking.

And Jade will still be around sharing her expertise, from pet first aid courses to canine nutrition advice, so keep an eye out for updates from her as well.

Today is our final day as VIPPIES 💛

After so many years of muddy paws, wagging tails, early mornings, late nights, cuddles on the Sofa of Dreams, first grooms, last goodbyes, and thousands upon thousands of walks… it’s time for us to close this chapter.

It’s hard to put into words what this journey has meant.

VIPPIES has never just been a pet care business. It’s been a family. A community. A place where pets were loved as our own and where friendships were formed that will last a lifetime. We’ve shared in your happiest milestones, supported you through the hardest moments, and had the absolute privilege of caring for your beloved animals every single day.

To our incredible team both past and present. Thank you. Your compassion, dedication and heart are what made VIPPIES what it was. You are all heading off on new adventures now, and we couldn’t be prouder. We wish each and every one of you success, happiness and exciting new beginnings.

To our customers. Thank you for choosing us. Thank you for recommending us, supporting us, cheering us on, and allowing us into your homes and into your pets’ lives. The loyalty and kindness we’ve experienced over the years has been overwhelming in the very best way.

While VIPPIES as a business now comes to an end, the memories don’t. The love doesn’t.

With very heavy hearts, we need to share some difficult news.

Despite doing everything we could to keep going, the ongoing economic pressures and rising costs have left us with no sustainable option. We have therefore instructed liquidators, and VIPPIES will cease to operate from Friday 20th February 2026.

This is not a decision we ever wanted to make.

We know this will come as a shock. Please be reassured that we have already spoken to our team, and the vast majority - including Sheena, Rob, Jade and Jake - will be continuing to offer pet care services independently.

Over the next week we will be contacting all clients with existing bookings to confirm arrangements going forward. Continuity of care for your pets is our absolute priority, and we are working hard behind the scenes to make this transition as smooth as possible.

If you are an existing client and have urgent questions, please email [email protected]. We have a small office team and one phone line, so email will be the quickest way for us to respond.

VIPPIES will provide services up to and including 20th February. Invoices for February services will be issued that evening, and we would appreciate prompt payment to ensure our team are paid in a timely manner.

To every customer, supporter, staff member and follower over the years - thank you. You have trusted us with your beloved pets, supported our growth, and built something truly special with us.
