🐱 What type of cattery cat is yours? 🐾

We’ve been getting to know the different personalities of our lovely guests at Iris Cottage, and it got us wondering…

If your cat could choose their own description, what would they be? 😻

🐾 The Explorer — has to investigate everything!

💬 The Chatterbox — always has something to say!

☀️ The Sun-Worshipper — finds the warmest spot and stays there.

😴 The Professional Napper — sleeping is a serious business.

👀 The Watcher — quietly keeping an eye on everything.

🍗 The Food Critic — dinner had better be exactly right!

🧸 The Comfort Seeker — happiest when they're cosy and settled.

🍬 The Treat Expert — knows exactly when treats should appear!

Our own two have very definite personalities…

🌙 Midnight is definitely The Explorer — nothing escapes her attention!

🍬 And Marbles? He's our Dreamies Expert. He knows exactly what he wants and, more importantly, exactly when he wants them! 😂

🐾 What a busy Bank Holiday weekend at Iris Cottage! 🐱

We've had a very busy few days looking after all our lovely guests, and it's been wonderful getting to know so many different personalities! ❤️

There has been lots of feeding, cleaning, checking in on everyone, making sure everyone is comfortable… and of course a lot of cuddles along the way! 🐾

Thank you to all our customers for trusting us with your gorgeous cats during our first Bank Holiday weekend as the new owners of Iris Cottage Cattery.

We're looking forward to a slightly quieter evening and putting our feet up! 😂

🌞🐾 **Getting ready for the Bank Holiday at Iris Cottage** 🐾🌞

The August Bank Holiday is nearly here, and we're getting ready to welcome lots of our lovely feline guests, and we can't wait! 🐱💚

We know that leaving your cat with someone else isn't always easy. They're not just a booking or a name in our diary, they're part of your family. ❤️

When your cat arrives at Iris Cottage, we want you to feel confident that they're coming into a calm, caring environment where they'll be looked after as if they were our own.

With a particularly busy Bank Holiday weekend ahead, we'll be **contacting everyone with an arrival or collection from Thursday 27 August onwards** to arrange an appointment time.

Our opening hours are:

🌿 **Monday – Saturday:** 9am – 1pm & 4pm – 6pm
🌿 **Sunday & Bank Holidays:** 9am – 11am

Having individual appointment times means we can give you and your cat our full attention when you arrive or collect, without several cats and owners arriving together. It also gives us the time we need between guests to make sure accommodation is thoroughly cleaned, fresh and ready for the next little visitor. 🧼🐾

It also means less waiting around for you and your cat. And, if the weather is warm, we really don't want any of our feline guests sitting in a hot car while waiting to come in. ☀️🐱

Most importantly, we want every cat coming through our door to feel **safe, comfortable and cared for**, and we want you to be able to head off on your holiday knowing they're in good hands. 💚

We're so excited to be starting our first Bank Holiday weekend at Iris Cottage and getting to know all the wonderful cats who stay with us.

🐾 Welcome to the next chapter of Iris Cottage Cattery 🐾

Yesterday afternoon we officially became the new owners of Iris Cottage Cattery.

To all of our current and future feline guests – welcome! Whether you're staying with us now or visiting us in the future, every cat will be cared for with kindness, patience and respect. Their comfort, safety and wellbeing will always be at the heart of everything we do.

We'd like to introduce ourselves as Andy and Annette, and we're delighted to be beginning this exciting new chapter.

We would also like to say a heartfelt thank you to Eileen for everything she has done to build such a well-loved and respected cattery. We wish her all the very best for the future and look forward to continuing the high standard of care that Iris Cottage is known for.

As we settle into our new roles, we'd like to thank all of our customers for your support and warm welcome. We look forward to getting to know you and your wonderful cats in the months and years ahead.
