Just a little appreciation post today ❤️

I sent a message to all of my clients this morning to let them know that things may be a little unpredictable for me over the next few weeks while we deal with some things at home and Isla being unwell.

I was honestly quite nervous about sending it, as the last thing I ever want to do is let anyone down or disrupt their plans.

The responses I've had so far have been absolutely incredible. So many lovely messages, kind words and people telling me not to worry and to just concentrate on my family. 🥹❤️

I'm sat here feeling quite emotional, because it really does mean so much.

I know how important it is to be reliable when you have someone looking after your dogs, and I never take the trust my clients put in me for granted. But today has reminded me just how lucky I am to have such kind, understanding and genuinely lovely clients.

🌞🌞🌞🌞 It's been super warm this last couple of weeks. Walks have gone straight to garden visits and even then our normal brain games and treat hunts have been a little too much in the heat!
Some more wonderful cat visits ❤️ purfect for cats who wants to stay at home whilst owners are away ❤️ with the added bonus of you plants being watered in this heat!

Thought i best add i didn't look after the dragonflies! but did find them under some pond netting so released them and thought they were amazing ❤️

This week I'm going to try and be better at taking photos! Sometimes I just totally forget! I have got some of my own little ones ♥️🐾 we had some lovely fun in the sun last week ♥️ This morning Brodie happily made the pups some frozen banana, blueberry, peanut butter and yoghurt treats to be frozen ♥️ Apple bobbing in the pool was a hit! 🍎

We had to make a difficult decision last week for Our beautiful little Snuggles 🥹 she had been doing ok and loving life but then stopped eating which is never great for piggies. Our little herd is definitely not the same. Rip little snuggles ###

🐾 Important: Summer Heat & Walking Policy please read 🐾

​With the warmer weather arriving, I want to be upfront about my safety policy. As many of you know, my background is in Veterinary Nursing. Because I have seen first-hand the devastating and often fatal reality of heatstroke, I cannot and will not take risks with your dogs’ lives.

​🛑 The 24°C Rule
​I monitor the Met Office closely. If the forecast hits 24°C or above, all walks will be suspended or moved to early morning/late evening (if available).

​Why I am so strict:
​The Deception of the "Breeze": This time of year causes me a great deal of professional stress. I’ve experienced walks that start with a slight breeze, only for the temperature to spike 2 or 3 degrees while we are out.

​Clinical Reality: In a clinic, we see that by the time a dog shows physical signs of heat stress, their internal organs may already be suffering. I never want to be in a position where I am rushing your pet to emergency care because the weather shifted unexpectedly.

​Ground Temperature: When the air is 24°C, the pavement can reach over 50°C—hot enough to blister paws in seconds.

​My Commitment to Your Dog
​A missed walk is a minor inconvenience; heatstroke is a life-threatening emergency. If it is too hot to walk, I will offer:

​Garden "Pop-ins": Fresh water, a toilet break, and indoor play. If you're dog won't toilet in the garden they will be taken to the closest grass area where they will.

​Early Starts: Walking before the heat of the day sets in.
​Mental Enrichment: Using my nursing background to keep them stimulated indoors without the physical exertion.

​I know you love your dogs as much as I do, and I thank you for trusting my professional judgment. Their safety—and my peace of mind—has to come first.

​Please check the Met Office app daily. If you see that 24°C mark this policy will automatically come into place.
