🌊 A wee Thursday adventure on the North Coast! 💙

Today we decided to head off and explore a little bit of our own beautiful North Coast. Ella has been with us from Germany all summer but we had been too busy to go sightseeing, so away we went ..

We set off through Portstewart, past Morelli’s 🍦 (no ice cream today though! 😂), taking in the views and the golf courses before heading on to White Rocks Beach, Dunluce Castle, the Magheramore viewpoint — one of my favourite views — and finishing off at the Giant’s Causeway. 🌊

It was definitely a little chillier today, as you can probably see! 🥶😂 But… it didn’t rain, so thats as a win! 🙌

And of course, after all that exploring, we had to finish with a wee cup of hot chocolate st the Causeway Hotel yumm to warm ourselves up. ☕️❤️

Sometimes you really don’t need to go far to feel like you’re on holiday.

✨ A little bit of Kansas came to Crindle… ✨

We were delighted to welcome Lisa & Tom from Kansas, USA to Crindle as they explored Ireland for the very first time. 🇺🇸🍀

Lisa enjoyed her ride with the beautiful Liberty, while Tom was wonderfully looked after by Daisy. Both horses did us proud as they took our guests out to enjoy the beautiful Causeway Coast countryside. 🐴🌿

One of the things I particularly loved was discovering Lisa’s own passion for equine therapy and learning — something very close to my own heart. We had such a lively chat afterwards over a wee cuppa, sharing experiences and ideas. It was one of those lovely conversations that you could have continued for hours!

And then Lisa surprised me with the most thoughtful gifts. She had brought me a BCHA hoodie and book — which she herself had written! 😍 How incredibly kind was that?

The hoodie fits perfectly and, as I’m writing this tonight, I’m actually all cuddled up in it because it’s rather chilly here! 🥰

Lisa & Tom told us that this was their first visit to Ireland but certainly won’t be their last, and we’ll be absolutely delighted to welcome them back to Crindle in the future. Their family have been over earlier in the year and convinced Tom to come visit his ancestral roots ❤️

Now… here’s the question…

Who knows what BCHA stands for? 👀

I have a feeling some of you might know! 🇺🇸

Ps. It was Tom’s birthday so he needed a wee birthday rosette 🏵️ 🤣😘

✨ Hello September! ✨

September is such a fabulous time to visit Northern Ireland. 🇬🇧🍀

The kids are back to school, the crowds start to ease, and we often get some of our loveliest weather of the year. ☀️

Yes, there’s a little nip in the air, but here on the Causeway Coast we’re pretty temperate — and as the month goes on, we’ll start to see those beautiful autumnal colours appearing across our countryside. 🍂

So why not get that thinking cap on and start planning your wee visit to Northern Ireland?

✨ Hello September ✨

Well… here we are again!

The kids head back to school, the evenings begin to change, and somehow, as if by magic, the sun decides it’s time to come out and play! ☀️

It does seem to be the way September goes here on the Causeway Coast — just when summer feels like it’s slipping away, we get some of our loveliest days of the year.

And if I’m being honest… as an adult, I’m every bit as excited about those September sunshine days as the kids are! 😂

So here’s hoping September brings us plenty of blue skies, golden evenings and a little more summer to enjoy. 🌿☀️
