𝗔 𝗠𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗙𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗢𝗪 𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗥𝗦
Back in May, I made the tough decision to leave one booking system for a cheaper software provider to try and save on my monthly overheads. It seemed like a smart financial move at the time. Fast forward to this week, and I have just finished migrating my entire business back to MoeGo.

Here is what I learned the hard way: cheaper software is only cheaper until it stops working. During my four months away, my "savings" were completely wiped out by the sheer amount of admin time I lost. Here is what I was dealing with:

𝗢𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘀: Clients consistently struggled to book appointments online.

𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗚𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀: Because the new system didn't make it clear to clients if their booking was successful, they would submit up to 3 appointments for a single groom. We then had to waste time contacting them to find out which slot they actually wanted. In the meantime, those unwanted appointments blocked our calendar, meaning those slots were completely unavailable to other clients.

𝗩𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮: System instability meant that saved prices were just disappearing from customer records.

𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Automated messages simply stopped sending to clients or they got the same one repeatedly.

The stress of fighting with broken tech took my focus completely away from grooming and my business. Moving back to MoeGo has been an absolute breath of fresh air, and I have to say, the support I have received from the MoeGo team while moving everything back has been exceptional. They made a highly stressful situation so much easier. After my initial onboarding, I had to contact MoeGo for support a handful of times, whereas the one I just left seemed to be weekly, with daily issues in the salon.

Having a stable, reliable system that actually works in the background is worth its weight in gold. If you are looking for grooming software, I have looked at a fair few now, that actually supports your business instead of fighting against it, I cannot recommend them enough.

Don't make the same mistake I did—buy cheap, buy twice! 🐾✂️
