Crystal our eldest pony here, her age is slightly unknown but we believe she is about 34!
She is the boss and she is the sweetest little thing, she is really nervous and does not really want to be around you close zoom lense is a blessing, but she is a real little sweetie.
Crystal came to me in august 2016 and we have learnt our mutual agreement I don’t bother her and she won’t cause me issues.
She’s starting to really show her age, she’s greying around the face and mane, her teeth are smooth and she struggles to eat some foods but she still looks well and runs around very well especially if you try to catch her!

To our eldest resident we do love you 😍

Manner cost nothing!
I do demand a lot from my horses when it comes to manners I expect to walk through my herd of 9 with feed, buckets, scoops, what ever and not be mugged, have fights and dangerous situations
I feed some and not others throughout the year but everyday they do get pony nuts to search for, I walk round and scatter them around for everyone to search for.
There is 9 horses here of varying breed, age, character but they will not surround me, mug me, fight or run around me.
It’s taken a lot to get everyone to realise this but it works.
This goes for haynets or hay they don’t sn**ch for hay until I move, they back up move out the way and wait, same for bu let feed, same for exiting and entering stables.
Saftey first I don’t do food aggressive horses they learn from day one, I can also do anything with the horses while eating, walk around them, handle them, it’s how they should behave.
They could if they wanted to really hurt my but basic boundaries and respect 🫡 I’m part of their herd and I’m queen bee 🐝 and that’s how horses should be they are not scare of me but they do respect me and the rules

Catch up from the last week, it’s been manic!
My bestie was up last weekend and got some lovely photos for us of the ponies
The week has been extremely hectic I’ve been suffering with hayfever so badly and the horses are starting to bring in their winter coats making my hayfever even worse!
Belle has cut her leg and been a little bit sore and reluctantly let me treat her but she did with a horslyx to distract her
King, Belle, badger have been hacking and doing little and light work with Amelia who is doing wonderfully with them all and using the road works as really good training opportunities for everyone!
Today I got a very early phone call from a neighbour saying two of my horses are wandering down the road 🛣️ so I headed of to see what the hell is going on and why my horses are out, Ginge and badger where grazing in a field nearby and luckily came in really well and no one was about, the field next door had been grazed by mine recently but someone had very kindly opened the gate pushed it back and the horses escaped luckily only two and nothing awful happened and it had a chain and lock on it but the lock was obviously not locked and someone decided it was a good idea! Thanks for that who ever you are, so ponies collected, stabled while I sorted everything out then the plumber came to sort the tap thanks ed :) but even though my water is rerouted and capped off to another pipe unfortunately it was not off and absolutely soaked him!
So this week has just been a mixture of everything!

Horses had their feet trimmed the other day and these are the little off cuts left over! 5/9 are here!
Any one want to guess who they are from?

They all grow at such diffrent rates it’s weird how some have loads and some have little growth

They will now hopefully only need one more trim before winter is really hear as is don’t get them done in the mid winter as it’s to hard to work saftey around them

My farrier is awsome and has said all the horses feet are looking very good amd we can’t see any problems

Productive day today!
Badger lunged, he was not a fan really and would have much preferred me not to have made him do exercise but he’s also way to fat so 🤷🏼‍♀️
Ginge and king done some pole work ridden ba****ck, apparently I’ve lost the plot or something but they were both really good boys.
Belle wandered around the field ba****ck, she was not overly keen but she did do it so that’s all I can ask for.
Anya wormed as her worm count was 750 so she needed doing she’s not my friend.
Ending the day with Mable snuggles and scratches!

All in the sunshine, and the geese are flying out now in the evenings I have started seeing a few flying over 😞 that means winter is on the way 😞
