🐾 COUNTRY PAWS – PRICE UPDATE 🐾

Just a little notice to all my lovely customers that from 1st September, there will be a small increase to my clipping/grooming prices.

Like many small businesses, my running costs and the cost of grooming products and equipment have continued to rise, and unfortunately I now need to make a slight adjustment to my prices.

I’ve tried to keep my prices as reasonable as possible, and this increase will allow me to continue providing the same 1-to-1 care, quality products and attention that every dog receives while they’re with me. 🐶✂️

The new prices will apply to all appointments from 1st September.

Thank you so much for your continued support, loyalty and for trusting me with your gorgeous dogs. It really does mean a lot. 🤎

❗️ 🔈 🐾 Flea Reminder 🐾 🔈 ❗️

I’ve seen an increasing number of dogs arriving at the salon with fleas recently, this can’t be helped but ⬇️

The warm weather is the perfect breeding ground for fleas, so please make sure your dog’s flea treatment is kept up to date.
Use vet flea treatment not off the shelf treatment there is a huge difference.

Did you know that only around 5% of a flea infestation lives on your dog? The other 95% (eggs, larvae and pupae) are hidden around your home in carpets, bedding, furniture and cracks in flooring. This is why treating your home, as well as your dog, is essential to completely break the flea life cycle.

If fleas are found during your dog’s groom, a flea charge may apply to cover the additional cleaning and disinfecting required to protect other dogs visiting the salon.

Thank you for helping keep my little salon flea-free! 💜🐾

GROUND temperature Chart for Tomorrow! 🥵

This is exactly why… you shouldn’t be walking any pets!

So a 40°C ground temperature indicates a very hot surface, which can:

* Stress plants and lawns.
* Burn bare feet or pets’ paws on pavements.
* Continue releasing heat after sunset, keeping nights warmer. 🥵 🥵

❗ With temperatures soaring this week and hot weather warnings in place across Buckinghamshire, we strongly recommend you take extreme caution with your pets. We recommend you do not take your dog out for walks during the day, and even show extreme caution if walking at dawn or late in the evening as it is still very humid and hot ❗

Signs of heatstroke ☀️
☀️ Panting
☀️ Brick Red gums
☀️ Excessive salvation
☀️ Restlessness
☀️Disorientation
☀️ Collapse
☀️ Seizures

There is lots of conflicting information around about how to treat heatstroke, but recent studies by the RVC show that the most effective way of stopping heatstroke becoming fatal is to Wet then Vet ☀️

They recomend:
💧 Drenching your dog in cold water
⛱️ Getting your dog near a fan or in the shade
📞Contact your nearest vet
🚗 Cool the car down before putting your dog inside

So remember ☀️☀️

☀️🐾 Heatwave Update 🐾☀️
Hi everyone,
Due to the extreme temperatures expected this week, I have made the difficult decision to rearrange grooming appointments where necessary.
As much as I love seeing all of your lovely dogs, their health and safety will always come first. The risk of heat stroke and the added stress that grooming can place on dogs in this kind of weather simply isn’t worth taking.
I know this may cause some inconvenience, and I truly appreciate your understanding and patience. I would much rather postpone an appointment than put any dog at risk.
If your appointment is affected, I will be in touch as soon as possible to rearrange it for a cooler day. If you have any concerns or would like to reschedule, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Thank you all for your continued support, and please keep your furry friends cool, comfortable, and well hydrated during this heatwave. ❤️🐶 💦
