HOT WEATHER

The temperature is set to rise tomorrow and into next week. So I will be working today, making Plumberry Oaticakes and some blueberry Oatimunch and then will be taking a break.

It would be stupid to force myself to work in high temps in the garden room when there are already plenty of Oaticakes in stock. Plus the Oaticakes don't dry well in high humidity. It's really not worth the struggle.

I will of course continue to pack orders during this time so do please keep ordering 🙂

I know a few of you are waiting for particular flavours to come back in stock and I will make these as soon as the weather allows x

Firstly, Raspberry Ripple, Sweet Sensations and Cool Bananas are back in stock. As are Tutti Frutti Oaticakes which are a huge favourite when ever they are in stock
The Raspberry Bunny-Pops are on the website along with new Banana Bunny-Pops. Both still need photos but they are available to buy now. That's 3 flavours of Bunny-Pops currently available, along with the Fruity Bunny-Pops added yesterday 🙂

If that's not enough for you, today I have also added some limited edition Summer Dreams Oaticakes. These are made with fresh bananas and homegrown red currants. I only make a couple of batches of these each year, so get them while you can!

Can you believe the best before date is already at December! Soon be Christmas 🤣

Did you know it's a legal requirement to put a best before date and batch number on every pack of treats? Every pack of Oaticakes has both of these.

If you are buying handmade treats elsewhere and they don't have a best before date and batch number then unfortunately they are trading illegally.

Those of you that have known me for awhile, know that I love my allotment plots and grow a lot of the fruit I use in Oaticakes during the summer months.
However last year, with everything that happened, the plots got badly neglected. We have handed back our biggest plot as there was no way I could cope with getting everything back into shape. But we have kept two smaller plots.
Over the past couple months I have spent as much time as possible at the allotment and got our main fruit plot back into fairly good shape. At the beginning of April you couldn't see any fruit bushes due to the waist high grass and weeds. So I'm over the moon with how the plot is now. We have even managed to plant some veg for ourselves. I'm not sure how much fruit we will get from it this year. But it was more about getting it cleared and fed ready for a bumper crop next year 🙂
Now this plot is up and running well, I have our second plot to get stuck into, which again is tall weeds and grass. I just need some weather that is not 35 degrees or pouring with rain!!

I've been meaning to venture into the world of bunny pops for sometime now. I finally gave it a go yesterday and they have come out ok. The sticks are firmly in the treat mix.
As per usual they are rather rustic as they are hand shaped. The question is.........

Would you prefer the bunny pops plain like this to keep them cheap ( maybe £1.75 )

Or would you prefer them decorated so a bit more fancy which will increase the price?
( Around £2.75 )
