The best feeling yesterday. Amby and his owner who im helping through his reactivity to dogs managed a calm loose walk with meadow without a single reaction towards her, multiple sniffs, building friendship and trust. Most importantly adding to his bucket of good experiences to help him feel more positive in future 🥰.

The previous session before this we had made really good progress, however the final sniffing phase had seem Amby get spooked by meadows movement. Today we made sure Amby expected the unexpected by asking meadow for a whole range of exciting behaviours while Amby worked on switching from 'obedience mode' to 'relaxed mode'. We gave amby the opportunity to make his own mind up and feel relaxed.

We were rewarded by a lovely parallel walk. Weve still a way to go with Amby as we need to now work on ignoring dogs that we aren't going to attempt to be social with and how we reduce the time needed for calm interactions with both the friends he's making and new relaxed dogs he may meet out on walks. This boy is social so staying away from other dogs isn't the answer once he's made a friend he really rather enjoys them 🥰.

We already know a huge amount about Amby as his owner is so fantastic with information gathering. I'm super excited to see where we get to with this boy as I feel he's already becoming such a different version of himself 🥰.

Once again another job I couldn't manage without my beautiful meadow ❤️.

Building on lead meeting skills is often hard for young dogs, but it is exactly that, a skill that we need to train as we live in a busy area. Our dogs need to know we either ignore or say hello when we give permission. Its the safest way to handle this, particularly when your dog has big emotions.

Meadow absolutely loves training, she's super keen as she's from very lovely working lines. We love using what ever we find in the environment to add fun tasks to do. With the stump we did step up and sit on and with the tree we did send arounds in both directions 🥰 ... I may not always have the time or energy to do a full training session (meadow would train all day)but little additions add up, they add up to a very content dog 🥰🥰

Lovely 1-1 with Arlo last night 🥰 ... Arlo is a typical adolescent Labrador.. his family put in so much work this past few weeks to get to the point Arlo is staring work around greeting meadow politely, working calmly around other dogs and we finished with a nice long line wander so Arlo could practice having a little play but then switching back off to sniff and explore calmly with meadow. His interactions are super appropriate which is great to see. Arlo simply needs to learn to ignore distractions when we ask and to be patient and say hello calmly when we feel it's appropriate. Yesterday he achieved both 💪

Another lovely review yesterday 🥰 thank you, these reviews mean more to us that we could possibly say. We absolutely love making a difference for both dogs and owners. We have a great set up to take pups and adolescent dogs through to well rounded grown ups.

Training and walks we offer - a little round up

💫Training 1-1s - (exclusively with myself) to work with you and your dog to create a plan that works for everyone, help you with your management and handling skills. Both training and behaviour issues inside and outside the house 🥰

⭐Training walks - (exclusively with myself) - to help build skills, move dogs along at a faster rate through Thier training and provide appropriate stoodge dog work. Super helpful for busy families or when you just need a break from the training yourself. These can also be super helpful for puppy owners who would like appropriate socialisation with our selected stooge dogs and appropriate experiences settling in new environments.

🌳Needs meeting solo walks - (by the team) - if I feel appropriate after our 1-1s have begun and I assess your dog suitable, we can offer solo needs meeting walks. These are less expensive than training walks but can really help if your struggling to fit everything in and really need some help meeting your dogs exercise and mental enrichment requirements. We specifically let dogs be dogs on these walks, adding in breed appropriate activities. These are usually done on a long or mid length lead. We back up any recall training on these walks.

🐶Group walks - (by the team) these are open to social dogs who I feel would be a good fit for the specific group. It's really important to me that groups are a good environment for every dog on the walk. Some of our training dogs, pups and adolescent dogs now have lovely regular friends they see each week as part of their overall weekly plan.

Dancy prancy Newfoundland ... Because no one said we had to be too serious about reactivity work 🤣🤣 ... Ridiculously willing boy , love him 😍
Moose has a mixture of 1-1 training with his mum and training walks with me ... I love this combination it massively helps flow and progress for busy families.
