Kipo controlled her Meerkat all day!! Around crowds, horses, other assistance dogs, noises, birds! We still have a long way to go but this weekend she stepped up and showed us what she’s capable of with the right support 💜

What does a relaxed dog look like? How do you know when your dogs are relaxed, let’s see some photos in the comments!!

Often in consultations we will discuss things like sleep patterns and relaxation, but how do we know if our dogs are relaxed….

I give you Spock….. this sprawled out on his back, deep breathing. This is when I know he’s at his most content. All of my dogs will have moments in their sleep where they will be like this, if I notice this reducing it’s my early warning that something might be bothering them. This could be internally, they have stomach ache for example, or external, there could be roadworks bothering them a little.
