A Busy Bank Holiday Monday. 💜🐾

Well, I managed to fit in three lovely dogs yesterday... not bad for a Bank Holiday Monday! 🤣

I had Ted the Cockerpoo, Ruby the Toy Poodle and Oakley the Labrador all in for a little Paws Out Loud treatment. 🐶✂️

And you certainly won't hear me complaining about working on a Bank Holiday, I'm just so grateful to be this busy right now. 💯

When you've started your own little business, seeing the diary filling up and having so many of you trust me with your dogs really does mean everything. 💜

Thank you for keeping me busy. Long may it continue! 🥰🐾

We hope everyone lucky enough to enjoy a little break this weekend has a lovely one! ☀️

As for Bank Holiday Monday... when you've started your own little business, the work never really stops! 😂 We'll be grooming as usual, and we'll also be around to answer your messages and get those appointments booked in.

Now THIS was a mammoth de-shed! 😂🐾

Meet gorgeous Ellie the German Shepherd, who came in for a bath, de-shed and trim... and let's say she brought quite a lot of spare fur with her! 🤣

German Shepherds have a double coat, and all that loose undercoat can really build up. A thorough deshed removes the dead, loose fur while leaving the healthy protective coat in place, helping air circulate and making them feel so much more comfortable... especially during warmer weather. ☀️🐶

And to show you how much came out of ONE dog in ONE visit... we had enough to spell ELLIE across the salon floor! 😂🙈

She was such a lovely girl throughout, and we can only imagine how much lighter and more comfortable she felt afterwards.

One appointment. A LOT less fluff. One very happy Ellie. 💜🐾

COME AND SEE US AT THE SUMMER COMMUNITY FAIR! 🐾☀️

We’re taking Paws Out Loud along to the Summer Community Fair at Eastwood Community Centre on Saturday 30th August, 10am–4pm, and we’d love to see some familiar faces! 🥰

There’s loads going on throughout the day, with over 20 stalls, cakes, crafts, face painting, handmade gifts, sweetie treats, faux florals, totes and plenty more... including my mum with her Avon stall and, of course, me with the doggy stall! 🐶💜

Little ones can also meet Ariel & Rapunzel between 12–1pm 👑✨ and there’ll be a raffle raising money for Mind.

Entry is just 50p and children are FREE! 🎟️

Pop along, have a wander and most importantly... come and say hello! 👋💜

Big dogs??? Bring them on! 💪🤣😂

Meet the very handsome Otto. 💙 He's not just any Labrador! Otto is a retired police dog who helped find guns during his working career. 👮🚨

These days, life is a little more relaxed, and Otto recently joined us for a well-deserved bath & deshed. 🫧

He was an absolute gentleman from start to finish and SO good for us. After a thorough bath, plenty of pampering and a serious amount of loose fur removed, he left fresh, comfortable and looking very smart indeed. 🥰

So if you've got a bigger dog and you're wondering whether we can accommodate them... absolutely we can! Our purpose-built salon has plenty of room for the larger members of the family too.

Thank you for your service, Otto. It was an absolute pleasure having you! 💜🐾

A fresh start for Precious!! 🐾💜

This lovely little Shih Tzu was a last-minute booking after recently moving in with her new family, as her elderly owner was sadly no longer able to care for her. 💔

Her coat had become very matted, and with Shih Tzus it really can happen much quicker than people realise. The kindest option was to take her very short and give her a fresh start. No knots, no tangles, beautifully clipped claws, and SO much more comfortable. 🥰

Luckily, a short coat isn't a bad thing during this heatwave either! ☀️ And don't worry, Precious... it'll grow back before you know it! 🤣

We're so pleased we could squeeze her in at short notice. The difference in her afterwards was lovely to see... she looked like she knew she felt better. 💜

Enjoy your new home, beautiful girl. We hope this is the beginning of a very happy new chapter for you. 🐶🐾

💜 Becoming Paws Out Loud 💜

This sign has actually been up in the salon for a little while now, but every time we look at it, it still makes us smile. 🐾

When Paws Out Loud first started, it was simply a name and a little logo we'd created for our new business. Now we're starting to see that logo recognised, our followers growing, people recommending our name in local groups and new customers telling us they've heard about us from someone else. 🥹

Slowly but surely, Paws Out Loud is becoming known, and that's something we're incredibly proud of.

Behind that little purple logo are so many dogs we've fallen in love with, nervous dogs we've gained the trust of, puppies we've watched grow in confidence, lovely reviews, recommendations, cuddles... and quite a lot of dog hair! 😂💜

So the sign might just look like a sign, but to us it represents how far our little business has come already.

Thank you to everyone who has helped get our name out there. Every follow, share, review, and recommendation really does make a difference to a small business like ours. 🐾💜

Meet lovely Chewie the Shih Tzu, who came in recently for a full groom. 💜

Chewie had become quite matted, so the kindest thing for him was to take his coat nice and short, remove all those knots and tangles and get him feeling comfortable again. And with this warm weather, we think he's going to LOVE his new cooler coat! ☀️🐶

We know how quickly knots can turn into matting, even when you're trying your best to keep on top of brushing at home. Just leave it to us. We'll work gently, do what's most comfortable for your dog and, where possible, get them feeling so much better in just one visit. 💜

And if your dog's coat has got away from you a little, please don't ever feel embarrassed about bringing them to us. There is absolutely no judgement here. 🤗

Chewie was an absolute sweetheart throughout. We even gave him a rather fetching little goatee halfway through for a laugh... 😂 It didn't make the final cut, unfortunately! 🤭

One very handsome, knot-free and much more comfortable boy heading home. 🥰🐾

Meet Aspen, a gorgeous 13-week-old Cavapoo who came in for his puppy introduction and bath & tidy... and he was an absolute superstar! 🥹👏

Whether it's a tiny puppy or an older dog visiting us for the first time, we never rush. We introduce everything gently, let them explore at their own pace, and make sure every experience is positive. 🤗

The aim isn't just a lovely groom today... it's building confidence so they look forward to coming back again and again. 😉🥰

We think Aspen passed with flying colours! 💜🐶

Welcome to one of our favourite places in the salon... the bath! 🛁

We thought we'd share a few of the gorgeous faces that have had the honour of stepping into our bathing area recently! 🐾💜

Believe it or not, bath time is one of the most relaxing parts of a groom for many dogs. Our specialist bath is raised to the perfect height, meaning we can work gently and comfortably while giving plenty of reassurance, cuddles and attention along the way. No bending over the side of the bath at home or ending up wetter than your dog! 😂🤣

Every dog is bathed using gentle, high-quality products that are kind to their skin, coat, eyes and ears. While the shampoo works its magic, they enjoy a lovely soothing massage before being gently dried, keeping them comfortable from start to finish. 🥰

We want every dog to feel safe, relaxed and cared for throughout their visit, so they leave not only looking amazing but feeling amazing too. 🤗

After all... every dog deserves a little pamper now and then. 💜🐶
