🦎πŸ’₯ 1.1 ARMADILLO GIRDLED LIZARDS!!! πŸ’₯🦎

🌟 Ouroborus cataphractus 🌟

YES… YOU READ THAT RIGHT!!! 😱πŸ”₯

How INCREDIBLE are these little prehistoric-looking dragons?! πŸ‰πŸ˜

These fascinating reptiles are truly something special, and we’re absolutely blown away by them!!!

🦎 A few amazing facts about these beauties!
Native to the rocky, arid regions of South Africa!

When threatened, they grab their own tails in their mouths and curl into a protective ring, using their spiky armour to defend themselves! How amazing is that?!

Unlike many lizard species, these fascinating creatures naturally live in social groups, although compatibility is important!

They love rocky environments with plenty of tight crevices and hiding places!

They require specialist care, including appropriate UVB lighting, basking areas and a carefully managed temperature gradient.

They enjoy a varied diet of insects and suitable plant matter!

And here’s something REALLY special… Females typically give birth to just ONE live baby at a time! 😍

These are certainly a species for dedicated, knowledgeable reptile keepers! ❀️

πŸ†πŸ WE’RE OFFICIALLY AWARD WINNERS!πŸπŸ†

πŸ’š Slitherin Reptiles has WON Specialist Pet Supply Store of the Year – Leicestershire at the Prestige Awards!πŸ’š

We are absolutely over the moon to share this incredible news with you all! πŸŽ‰

To be nominated for an award like this was already something we were incredibly proud of, but to receive confirmation that we have been selected as this year’s WINNER is a truly special moment for us and everyone involved in Slitherin Reptiles.
Our journey has always been about more than just reptiles. What started with a love for these incredible animals has grown into something we are incredibly proud of, a business built around animal welfare, education, customer service and helping people give their animals the very best care possible.

Every day, our team works hard to make Slitherin Reptiles a place where experienced keepers and complete beginners alike can feel welcome, learn something new and find the right products, advice and support for their animals.
And now, to have that hard work recognised by Prestige Awards makes this achievement even more meaningful. πŸ†

BUT THIS AWARD ISN’T JUST OURS…
It belongs to our amazing team, who put so much passion and dedication into what they do.
It belongs to our wonderful customers, who choose to shop with us, recommend us to others and continue to support our business.
And it belongs to everyone who has been part of our journey so far, whether you’ve been with us from the beginning or have only just discovered Slitherin Reptiles.

Without you, none of this would be possible. Thank you for helping us get here. πŸ’š

We’re incredibly proud of how far Slitherin Reptiles has come, but we’re only getting started! We’ll continue to grow, improve and do what we love most: providing incredible animals, quality products, trusted advice and the very best possible standards of care.

πŸ₯‡ SPECIALIST PET SUPPLY STORE OF THE YEAR – LEICESTERSHIRE
