Full circle moment 💫
P80CHH is back! Why does this mean so much?!
2014 - I had just started the business as 1 person in a van after being made redundant from a “secure” job with pension and bonuses. We hadn’t long had our first house, first mortgage and to say we had barely any spare money with starting the business would be an understatement. We were counting money aside for food shopping, fuel and holidays were out of the question - I think we may have done 4 days in Scarborough that year with the kids. Alex borrowed the money (£250) to buy this plate as a Christmas present for my mobile grooming van and I remember being annoyed he spent money we hadn’t got but I loved it so much and it will always be the OG plate!
Fast forward to 2026 - to see this plate on a car I only dreamt of owning for me was a “stop” moment of wow. I’ve wanted this car for so long & how the hell did this happen?! We have since bought Alex a matching plate for his car 🥹. Few people look and see a “showy” car with a “showy” plate but don’t see the journey it took to get here….
Message to those starting out in a business - it’s one of the hardest things you’ll do - you will sit there and wonder whether it will work, you’ll be fighting the haters daily, emotionally drained, physically drained but if you have the passion to make something work and continue to set goals - you WILL make it work and you WILL achieve those goals! I find it incredibly hard to “be proud” but this got me today and made me realise just how far along we have come in 12 years of business & took a moment to reflect. Has it been worth it? YES! 🙌
