Can you help Jasper and his friends on special food? 🐶🐾

As you can imagine with so many dogs to care for, there are lots of different dietary needs. We're running really low on sensitive food and little Jasper has been nominated as the 'spokesdog' on behalf of his friends to ask if any of our kind supporters can help.

We would love donations of Burns Sensitive Pork & Potato dry food, Burgess Sensitive Salmon dry food, Burgess Sensitive Turkey dry food and AVA sensitive dry food (white fish.)

Our quiz and supper social last year was so much fun, we're doing it again this year! It did sell out really quickly, so if you'd like to join us then get your ticket now.

Come along with friends and family or on your own, we can seat you together if you're a group or we can put you on a table where we're sure you'll make new friends!

The food will be supplied again by the well-loved Chris’s Fish and Chips of Barwell. As well as fish & chips, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are available. You can buy drinks at the bar and there will be a raffle and tombola. Money raised will help us to continue to care for cats and dogs in need. 🐱🐶

Hi there. We are in need of a couple of things here at L.A.A. and we were hoping our kind supporters could help us out. For animals like Harry (below) we need non bio wash powder to keep beds and bedding sweet-smelling and soft. Items can be dropped off here at the Centre or be sent via our Amazon Wishlist here https://tinyurl.com/5n7eu24h (our address is included).

For our charity shops, we need some bubble wrap to wrap breakable items in. If you've been ordering some big items lately, or have some kicking around at home, we'd love to have it. Harry says thank you very much and have a purrrrfect afternoon.

Wow, what an amazing afternoon we had yesterday and it didn't rain! 🐶

It was so heartwarming in our 70th year to welcome more than 40 dogs adopted from Leicester Animal Aid to our doggy reunion parade, hear their stories and to see them wearing their special rosettes with pride. 🥰🐶

The fun dog show had a brilliant turn-out with 118 entries into the seven different dog show classes and young handler round. 🐶 The judges had such a difficult job deciding on 1st, 2nd and 3rd places and there were so many dogs they just wanted to take home!

The event wouldn't have been possible without our fantastic volunteers and staff, who did everything from setting up, making cakes, serving refreshments, parking, welcoming people on the gate, dog show registration, agility and everything else in between! Thank you you're all amazing. A special thank you goes to our fantastic judges - L.A.A. Ambassador, , Chelsea Read and Sue Williamson and to everyone who entered. You were all winners! 🏆

Massive thanks must also go to Wilson Browne Solicitors for sponsoring the dog show and Huncote Sports and Social Club for being the perfect hosts.

🐾🐾Paws crossed for Eric and Ernie in the BBC Make A Difference awards.🐕🐕

Loveable duo, Eric and Ernie (not forgetting their human Shane!) do so much educating children about dog safety including our K9 Kids courses. We thought their work should be recognised and nominated them and they are now finalists in their category!

The BBC came along to find out more and to see them in action. Huge shout-out to some of our amazing Huncote Hound Club members who helped out with the filming. I'm sure you'll agree they are all super-stars.

We're all set up at Huncote Sports and Social Club for our fun afternoon. Gates are open now with the fun dog show starting at 1pm.🐕
