After Millie and Ava had wound Dennis up sufficiently and had a little zoom around, we played a spot of fetch before spending the rest of the time combining litter picking with some appropriate find it, leave it and recall games. Super stars! 🐾⭐

Anytime you spot metal bottle caps on the ground PLEASE do PICK THEM UP!
A lot of people might not realise this, but they're actually as dangerous as broken glass when they're upside down.
If a dog - or any paws or feet - goes over one, it can really cause some damage, especially if they're running!

You can see in the photos how sharp and jagged they are. Luckily no injuries here, but there could have been, as there were so very many caps scattered about and the majority were indeed upside down - sharp side up! 😔

Where there's one, there's usually more... lots more. I've filled 2 poo bags with them this week already! These photos just show “a few” of them, but it's still too many - and all from one patch!

How can we continue to enjoy these places if we trash them?! It's not rocket science! And it's not difficult! But it is frustrating and upsetting at times 😑

You take it there → you put it INSIDE a bin or take it away with you. Should be simple really 😔

I know that you're all wonderful souls and do your bit, but it's bugged me this week that so many people don't. We do our bit though don't we? I'm always picking up extra p**p that I've not been paid to, or binning other people's rubbish along the way 😅😆🐶💩⭐

This little trio enjoyed a good mooch and play with some find it games, cuddles and ballgames under the trees

It was a big day as Dotty officially joined the 'snoggies club' 🏆 🐾 and has found a new love for the snoggies 🤣 back when I first started dog walking most of the dogs I was familiar with HATED snoggies and other familiar, or unfamiliar, dogs licking at their mouths and faces but Clara, Mali, Nellie, Lula and now Dotty absolutely LOVE them. It's the first thing they do when they meet up with each other and during our cuddle breaks the snoggies always start too - That's definitely something you wouldn't be saying in a human only workplace would you? 🤣 but yep, they love the snoggies! Not for everyone but IFKYK. It's extra special for Dotty as when she first started with us she was very nervous and anxious and couldn't stand still next to other dogs for long but she so quickly found trust and confidence in us and herself and has just come over every hurdle so to now be choosing to share snoggies and be that close to another dog and their face when a year ago she wouldn't be near another dogs face is just beautiful 😍❤️🐾

Another breezy walk with Clara, Lula, Ava and Dennis Thurs last week! Oh my goodness were the girls happy to see Dennis! and boy! oh boy! Was he happy to see them! They really got to make up for missed sillies and zoomies, had such a good blow out and had a fab time playing and teasing each other, Dennis and Clara were in their love bubble bouncing and boxing away, Ava yipping and yapping behind them or circling round them. Lula was having the best time with the best stick and the ball! Ava and Lula kept teasing and tossing the stick and ball between them and then we all had a group footy session - this involves my attempt to dribble the ball as long as I can whilst the dogs have to resist the urge to get the ball until I send them off to get it ..or lose my footing 🤣 really good mental and physical workout for all involved! Then a big old cuddle and cool down session before heading back with an extra paddle 🤗💜🐾 think we all needed today! Cant wait for the autumn colours and breeze to come round now 🙏🐾💜

I got to have a lovely mooch and play with Ami, Fi, Tilly and Ava first today. We were all skipping along feeling that bit lighter in the cooler breezier temps. We did lots of games practicing our recalls, leave it, sit, stay, release and find it cues 🐾 I brought the treats and Fi found a ball for us to play with too. Ami quickly pinched it and started the chase games 😆 Tilly and Ava continued their mooch and waited for the foody find it games to begin 😉💜🐾

Great to be back to the munchkins today, it's felt like we haven't had any time apart 🤗 Lots of low energy hot weather activities to start the day off at the spinney. We just stuck to our little patch, I never expect to do the full hr on hot days but somehow we almost always do because we pace ourselves and avoid too much sun, keep our fluids up and I micro manage the mad heads like Fluke 😆 and Mali who's back next week 😉 Lots of sit stay and find it games, lots of bum bum scratches and giving us their best poses along the trail, lots of fun, fussings and yep food! 🥰💜😀🐾

Knighton park with Lula and Ava for a lunchtime snuffle and mooch 💜 Lots of low energy hot weather activities with lots of cuddle and refresh breaks, lots of rolley polleys, belly rubs, cuddles and kisses too 🤗

They had a little paddle but we had plenty of our own drinking water - especially as we're playing it safe with the ongoing/on and off water issues at KP recently 😬

They met a handsome boy called Charlie to have a little flirt with before we left too and did some beautiful focus work around distractions today - I was also really pleased Lula was still recalling perfectly from food scraps and other distractions 👌 I always expect to need to do a little refresher with each of them after a break but not needed today, we did it anyway for good measure as always but Lula, and all the munchkins today, were on top form! ⭐👌💜)

I always do a refresh/reset with some engagement activities (look, spins, nose touches, through, recall, sit, stay, etc, etc) at the start of all walkies with the munchkins just to see where their energy and attention is and to make sure they're focused and ready to recall, etc before letting them explore and have their play and mooch time - very important to know they're listening (or rather, wanting to listen!) especially in a group setting and a shared public space 🥰 I do this during their mooch and toilet time whilst they "warm up" for lack of a better word at the moment 😅

As it was lunchtime on a hot day we played it safe with the Easidri Cool coats to keep them as comfortable as possible as I knew we wouldn't be in a hot car, we had a short travel time and we wouldn't be lingering on hot pavements or anything either so they set the pace and off we mooched - because I can actually trust these 2 to do that, unlike some dogs, not mentioning any names *Mali* *Fluke*! 😉😅😆 We certainly don't do our usual steps, pace or activities on hot days but with many dogs (not all!) it's still possible to go out safely. They often feel better just to get out to the toilet, have a little sniff and mooch, anything else is a bonus but we do low energy activities instead of our usual play and activities and have lots of cuddle breaks where they just sit and chill and cuddle or snuffle around and we all still have a lovely time 💜 we also make sure there's accessible water and/or lots of water in my bag and plenty of shade to stick to for the most part too. We avoid open spaces on hot days as that's ridiculously dangerous for any dog in high temps!

🛑 Never take risks or do hot weather walks with flat-faced/brachycephalic breeds, large or heavy dogs, senior dogs or any dogs with health concerns - it's not worth the risk. Know your dogs and if you're in doubt don't take risks. A dog won't die from a missed walk 🐾🐾
