LOKO. RIGHT WHERE HE BELONGS. 🖤

There’s something special about seeing one of our dogs settle into family life and truly thrive.

Loko is doing exactly that. Confident, content and right where he belongs, he’s a reminder that what we do has always been about more than protection. It’s about the life that protection makes possible.

The freedom to enjoy your home, spend time together and get on with everyday life, with the added reassurance of knowing your family has the right companion by their side.

Because the very best protection doesn’t change the way you live. It gives you the confidence to live it fully.

Family. Freedom. Protection.

Loko, you look right at home. 🤍

THE MUZZLE ISN’T THE THREAT.
IT’S PART OF THE TRAINING.

A muzzle is a tool, and like any tool, it’s about how it’s introduced, conditioned and used.

At Chaperone K9, muzzle work can form an important part of a protection dog’s training for several reasons:

• Safety & responsible handling — creating an additional layer of control when appropriate.

• Scenario training — allowing controlled exercises that replicate real-world situations while managing risk.

• Veterinary & public environments — ensuring a dog is comfortable wearing a muzzle should one ever be required.

• Confidence & conditioning — teaching the dog that the muzzle is simply another piece of equipment, not something to fear.

• Professional standards — responsible protection dog ownership is about control, obedience and judgement, not simply drive.

A protection dog should be capable of switching between power and composure.

The picture may show the intensity of the work.

The real skill is knowing when that intensity is appropriate, and when it isn’t.

Drive. Control. Discipline. Responsibility.

The muzzle is a piece of equipment. The standard is the dog beneath it.

In the silence, you discover the character behind the power.

26/06/2026

Everyone can build excitement.

Few people build the discipline to control it.

A dog that can wait, despite every instinct telling him to go, is learning something far more valuable than chasing a reward.

He’s learning patience.
He’s learning self-control.
Most importantly, he’s learning that action only happens with permission.

Real reliability isn’t measured by how fast a dog can move.

It’s measured by how well they can choose not to.

Power Requires Patience.

🇬🇧 ✈️ 🇲🇾

This week marks a significant milestone for Chaperone K9 as one of our most accomplished females, Sila, begins her new life in Malaysia.

Over the last 2 years, Sila has developed into an exceptional example of the Belgian Malinois breed. Possessing high-level obedience, environmental stability, and advanced personal protection skills, she has consistently demonstrated the qualities we look for in a Chaperone K9 protection dog.

On July 2nd, I will be travelling to Malaysia alongside Rich Large, one of our senior trainers, to work directly with Sila’s new owners and their team.

The purpose of the trip is simple: to ensure that the transition is seamless and that both dog and handlers develop a strong working relationship from day one.

A protection dog is only as effective as the partnership behind it. Our role is not only to train exceptional dogs, but also to equip owners with the knowledge, understanding, and practical skills required to maintain those standards long into the future.

During our time in Malaysia, we will be focusing on:

• Advanced obedience and handling
• Personal protection deployment and control
• Maintenance training strategies
• Building confidence and communication between dog and handlers
• Long-term development plans to preserve Sila’s capabilities

We are incredibly proud of Sila and excited to support her next chapter.

From the United Kingdom to Malaysia, the journey continues.
