Jane at LKR, a cat and kitten rescue in Loughborough has had an influx of kittens and strays at the moment.

With so many developments getting the go ahead in our countryside under the current government, please take the time to sign the petition against a proposed industrial hub here in Markfield(as if we haven’t got enough of these and mostly with units standing empty!)
The lovely farm next door to us has had its buildings totalled and the majority of its trees removed, it’s now basically a five acre field.
All the bats have gone, we used to have different varieties of deer in our garden but now none come.
Next door will be a high performance car showroom - just what’s needed in the countryside with no passing trade!
The councils are so strapped for cash that they’ll let any development through to get the payments.
Building is encouraged on flood plains with the consequences becoming apparent later.
Please stand up for our green fields and open spaces before they’re all gone.

Ulverscroft and Markfield’s countryside is under threat.

A proposed industrial development near Junction 22 of the M1 could change this landscape permanently, an area connected to Charnwood Forest and valued for its wildlife, views and quiet rural character.

Over 2,400 people have already signed the petition.

Save Ulverscroft’s Nature Campaign to Protect Rural England

As many of you know, I together with my business partner, Teresa have been running an interiors shop in the Vale of Belvoir. We are Bumbles Interiors
We have moved location and are now at Eastwell Crossroads, LE14 4EF. It’s been a lot of hard work but we are having our opening event this Easter weekend between 10 am and 4pm.
We are on a small complex of shops together with Jorge’s deli and cafe and Wellspring hub studio.
It would be lovely to see you, come and have a glass of fizz and say hello 👋🏻
